morning all, LMH - good to see the return of the mojo! Blisters - surely you know by now, interior decorating is a winter job... what - club night, speedy reps why - Tuesday last rest - last saturday last hard - sundays long run
morning guys and such a beautiful one . I wish I wasn't working today ...
Really loving spring at the moment. I reckon a few runners at MK mara yesterday had a rough old time in the heat though.
what: 10 miles -- yep ten (longest run since mara ) why: I wanted to last hard: Saturday last rest: Thursday lyrics: I'm thinking of a movie tune but maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree
Why: two races over the weekend (parkrun on Saturday, 18.59 in Oldham and Coiners fell race in Mytholmroyd - 7.5m/400m ascent) means I'm knackered. Also, one of my trail shoes ripped clear in half on the final descent, so I need some new ones.
What: a walk later Why: still not up to running. Worked today but felt grim! Feel dizzy and head aches, but considerably better than Saturday. Don't even feel like going to the Alehouse.
Wabo: that photo sure looks like trouble!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
Sorry to hear that you're still feeling rough Alehouse.
Beautiful here this afternoon so after my 2.6k swim set this morning I took Grace out for 5.5 miles with a few stops whilst she paddled in the lake and river to cool off on the way.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
Lyrics: Nope What: Gentle stroll Why: Enforced rest Last Hard: Facing reality Last Rest: Yesterday
Had another NHS hospital day last Friday, 9 hours of joy and battery of tests. Pericarditis flared again and no running/exercise for at least another week. No Embra for me unless I walk. Looks like slowish half mara will be max going forward. Tish happens so reframe and get on with it. Back tomorrow with smiley face and will try and reduce my AWOL's
Oh bu&&er, Straycelt. Phooey. Not what we wanted to hear. Sorry, but you've clearly figured it out - the reframe and get on with it bit. Hard to see the positives, but does enable one to feel slightly smug reading others' woes as they regret their failed time ambitions for this marathon or that. Those who have to reframe know what running is about, which others may not, whatever time they come home in.
Wabo - oooh she's lovely!
Alehouse - hope head clears and the dizzy stops soon. Hang in there.
7D - sounds a stiff fell run. Well done on the double.
Yes, glorious spring mornings that beg one to go outside and enjoy them. I got out early too, but to walk over to friends house to sit with her poorly Mr. while she went out for a bird-watch. Got there to find he'd been taken in to hozzie. Sugar. They've had more than their share of troubles.
(saw a heron and a green woodpecker on the way over)
Packing now for long training weekend with Tinebeest. Not as prepared as would like to be, but life interfered, as it is well known to do. 1kg in weight loss, only two stairs run, one longer run, and not very long at that. Three days on the trot should do good things.
Really sorry to hear that SC - are you still ok with the TKD?
Didn't know you had any weight to lose Stickless! Hope you enjoy your weekend with Tine.
Forecast for the rest of the week is now good - rain forecast to appear tomorrow morning and strong winds not far behind it - not what I need when playing catch up on the bike.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
Wabo, as a Grand daughter I'm sure she's cute. As a daughter I can see trouble.
To those on the bench, it sounds like that woodwork is becoming bum-magnetic.
What: work not finished yet. So I came home to carry on with life and finish up, er, now. However, I did get the bike out and cranked out 20 miles (65 minutes). Rain forecast, with cooler temps, or summer as we used to call it.
