happy friday ! Don - good luck with the race Birks - enjoy the recovery run & well done to jnr Well yesterday was strange weather wise. 6 done at lunchtime, first half in torrential rain, but coming past the palace the sun appeared and was shining brightly for the return leg. Not so in the evening - helped putting the U11s (50 or so) through their 200m track reps. I don't think it stopped hammering down, with intermittant hail. Blue hands, and soaked to the skin. whats that quote ' there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes choice' or something. Quite. Today - something like Birks easy later or maybe nothing. Why - plan a LSR tomorrow early doors last rest - 13 days last hard - run wise, Tuesday Like LmH I had to do a double take on the lyric, still not sure I know
I hope he gets what he needs to get on his course then birks. Is it a little stressful or does he take it all in his stride?
Dustin - sounds tortuous. The youngsters sound good though - training through that.
Sorry OH
I must admit I tend to dread my turbo sessions Paddy but I do think they do me a lot of good and I'm always surprised at what I can manage when I put my mind to it.
Found a very little window of opportunity this morning so did my 30 minutes easy, albeit on the treadie for time management reasons. Feel better for it.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
Morning all. Lyrics: Yes What: Phil Jupitus at the Savoy Why: Coz I'm still resting Last Hard: Last Friday Last Rest: Yesterday Youngest off to school prom tonight. Why do they grow up so fast? Donaldo, good luck for the half and OH enjoy the Wrath of the cape.

Managed to shake the cold and got a fair bit of running and cycling done yesterday and today. 'twas a Bank Holiday here yesterday and I took a bridge day too making it a nice long weekend. Lots of sun until now. I suspect the heavens are going to open any minute and boy, it's windy!!

Well done Pammie, and I trust we will be saying well done to some racers over the weekend too.
Doesn't sound great, Postie!
Nice work yesterday evening, Wabo, and hope that that is reflected in your 10k. And with fresher legs I suspect you will reap the benefits of the marathon training over the shorter races.
What: 16 mins or so Why: To get from A to B! It was actually shorter than planned: from my car to a garden centre, then got lift back.
Lyrics: no
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
Sat on my backside all afternoon and into the evening doing wrok. I prioritise it into what is going to get me into the deep doo dah first, and sod the rest. Progress made.
Training has been a nil though. Bike tomorrow, at least 50 miles. I'll see if I can make it more, but that will involve heading off on my own after the gang depart. That won't be easy.
