SG, we're discussing an idiot here. A yob who went out with a mate of his one night; and for old times sake, put a brick through a shop window.
Not the normal behavior of your average 30 year old.
Tim, I've had a guitar for over 30 years; and to non musicians, appear to able to play the thing. However, despite believing I can't play at all, compared to Guitar Heroes, I'm Steve Hackett.
thats understandable if i ran a 14min 5k yesterday my hamstrings would be aching today too. maybe have a day off today and then jog a sub 15min 5k tomrrow, that shouldnt put too much strain on your hams.
Whats your view on all the info linked about if you ran a 3000m at your current pace you would break the all american 16 yr old boy record, which has stood since the 1990's. fancy getting into a 3000 race and destroying the record?
Just as likely on this side of the pond Grendel. In fact Nearly all American kids I've come across have been, on the whole, much more polite and better behaved than British ones.
Well, that's another sub-13 parkrun for me this morning. And that was after five consecutive nights out drinking, including not actually getting to bed on Friday night and going straight to parkrun from the nightclub.
To return to the original question: can't someone help the OP?
Soon after half past one for a run is about right to give you enough time to get over the underage drinking from the night before, yes. It should also give the sore bits a few hours to recover, but in future remember to stay away from the common without your parents.

Come on Matt the suspense is killing me!

🙂
The finding a 200m track and running a lap or two for new pb's is I feel 'a cunning plan'.

I know how he feels though I cannot look at a balaclava or sawn off shot gun without going misty eyed with nostalgia for 'the good 'ol days'
But what happened to Matt? Shoes caught fire? Forgot his stopwatch? An imperial instead of metric track? Wrong shoes? Ran out of petrol on the way?
I think they're about 8 hours behind in Texas, I don't think he's going to pitch up until later (if, indeed, he does pitch up).
I have a horrible feeling that Matt maybe more than 8 hours behind; but will eat humble pie if I am wrong.....
Hamstrings are straining, I think it's just some Lactic Acid buildup, not running today.
No that's just the bullshit trying to escape.
🙂
Matt.why is your IP address not tying up with your hometown
Did you strain them at the track yesterday?
How did you get on?

Actually Matt, I'd also like to know your view on some of the stats you've been presented with.
You can't really ignore them any more than you can argue against them IMO.
It's making you look pretty arrogant/stupid now to be honest. (You can take your pick which one).
An arrogant stupid American schoolboy - surely not?

Will the US Edition of RW (or rivals Running Times) pick up on this US 5000m phenomenon ?
A scoop surely...
The 'Ifida Cup' for Matt?
As in, "If I da not pulled me 'amstring I would be the best in the world by now"
No running again today Matt? This won't do if you're going to become Olympic champion.
Either the boys slacking, or he doesnt want to make the rest of us feel inadequate
Not me Cheesy - I can't run anywhere near as fast as him . But then again, I doubt he can either

Peter, you really havent got this have you ...
You failed to fuel up at the kebab shop on the way, Matt would not be impressed at all! you could have gone sub 12, and blown the US 10k afterwards
No running again today Matt? It's not looking good kiddo...
this thread really needs to be expunged, the title makes this forum look so ridiculous.

Still no sign of him...maybe he's not allowed out on a Sunday?
