I would have thought that you would need to have autorefresh ON, otherwise how will the webpage reload to take you to the registration and payment screen?
I think that's why peoplewho are opening another window or refreshing are getting through.
Woohoo! I'm in.. Now wether to fly to CDG and get up stupidly early or fly to Orly and get up at a normal time. I feel like entering is the smallest decision! Any seasoned Paris marathoners have any tip about which airport/flight from London to go for?
Well that was a complete farce as usual. They have taken my money but I have no confirmation of race entry, no number and in my ASO account there is no sign of my registration.
Of course, I can't get back into my account now, it just takes me to the waiting page again....
I've entered (70 Euro level), was waiting from around 8:50am. This will be my first full marathon.
However there was an error message once I submitted my payment details. Although I did get a payment confirmation email with a transaction reference. I've emailed for confirmation that my entry has gone through as I don't think there's any other way to check.
Did anyone that entered get any emails in addition to the payment confirmation one?
Yes, I got two emails, one for the payment confirmation and one for the marathon validation with my race number. They came within a few seconds of each other.
I've had two emails since - one to confirm that payment went through, and one to say you're in... I also had an email to say that my original attempt to pay (via Debit card) hadn't worked. yer_maj maybe if you paid with debit card it hasn't gone through? I switched to credit card and it worked fine.
Stephanie - if you're coming from London it's much easier to get the Eurostar. Cheaper, no baggage restrictions and no faffing about getting in from the airport. Tickets go on sale 3 months in advance and if you get in quick you should be able to pay around £70 return.
I also got 2 emails. Have booked my flights, easyjet from Liverpool, about £120 with a bag and seats, went for extra leg room for the return journey. I've also booked a hotel, although can cancel at no cost if I find somewhere better. I'm treating myself by arriving on the Wednesday before
yer_maj, I'd be confident that if you have that confirmation of payment, you are in, after all, that's the point at which you are confirmed as having a place. Probably just your email server playing silly beggars.
Emma - it's not my email that's the problem, it's that the race isn't showing in my ASO account either, so there is no record of me having a race place or number, they've just taken my money. Everybody else has the race showing under My Races in their ASO account.
I've emailed them but I'm not confident of a reply.
I managed to get in too, very strange process! I had my laptop on since 8:30am no luck, I tried on my phone at 10:30am and finally got through on that. The waiting in line business was a bit of a farce
RR - you've given me an idea. If I come to Paris, I was going to fly to Paris, then fly to London for the London Marathon, then fly home.....but perhaps it's a better idea to simply fly to and from London from Atlanta, and Eurostar to and from Paris??
Good afternoon and hello to all the newbies coming out of the wood work. Hope you don't have to frustrating a day of it with the registration process. Me and Mausey had a wet and windy 13k this morning, round some reservoir here in Derbyshire. She's in the web queue now for registration.
Has anyone successfully left the browser alone as requested and then been able to complete the registration? Any indications of how long that took you to get in? Thanks.

But please don't shout at me if it doesn't work!!
Refreshed the page a few times and got in! 70 Euros which is the cheapest I think. Good luck to anyone still waiting
Well done, Brix!

Ok, well at least I have the payment confirmation, so will await their response to my query. Hopefully having the first email means I'm in.

Welcome to all the new people. * Wordslinger, the ' Sub-4-or-die' ers, offer a sweaty handshake..*
Done, had to register in French, first account went pear shaped so I had to create a second account with different email and user name.
i can't believe it took that long and still in the first 8000

Yes I did, while refreshing on my iPad, it took about 1hr 45 min
He's in too... Paris here we come!!! All that sitting in line business was pointless. Logged in and went stright through both times at 70 euros each.
