This very much depends on the properties of the biscuit, in particular its structural integrity and dryness. e.g.
Rich Tea - dunking essential. Very dry but reasonably robust. Jammy Dodger - as above; the jam's too thin to overcome the dryness, so it needs dunking. Malted Milk - definitely not, or if dunked only very briefly. Fairly dry but wilts like an old lettuce. Dunk for too long and you're looking at a load of sludge when you get to the bottom of your tea. Digestive biscuit - definitely dunk. Not as dry as a Rich Tea, but incredibly robust, can take a solid dunking without falling apart and therefore soaks up much tea. n.b. May require a small nibble to get a decent dunk going as the circumference is likely to be bigger than that of your tea receptacle. Chocolate Hobnob - Hmmm... now this one's not so straightforward. Works extremely well as a stand-alone biscuit, but has similar robustness and tea-soaking skills as a digestive, perhaps even more so with the coarse-grained oats. If you're feeling naughty, go for the double-hobnob dunk with two hobnobs stuck chocolate side together.
I'm only guessing by the way. Never eaten a biscuit in my life.
Spekulatius is a traditional Christmas cookie that originated in the Netherlands. It is made out of a short dough (a cookie dough that is rolled out), and, similar to the Springerle cookie, it is formed by using a cookie mold. They are thin, crispy, and evenly browned.
There are 3 types of Spekulatius cookies:
Spice Spekulatius (Gew??rzspekulatius): This is the most common type of Spekulatius cookie. It obtains its taste from the spices cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon.
Almond Spekulatius (Mandelspekulatius): This is a Spekulatius cookie, in which the bottom of the cookie is coated in almonds. These are also known as Mandel-Kichelchen
.
Butter Spekulatius (Butterspekulatius): This is a Spekulatius cookie which is made with a high amount of butter.
Can't eat biscuits without dunking chocolate hubnubs being my preferred choice, the only rule to this was biscuit browns and biscuit fruit you get in ration packs, and I'm not sure if there classed as a real biscuits

I only get the urge with sandwich biscuits - bourbons, custard creams etc...
Of course - what is the point of biscuits otherwise?????
Chocolate hobnobs are the best.
What are biscuits? Thought we were all serious athletes here.

I bet Wilson Kipsang bloody loves a digestive
I Phil's scientific posts
Confession. I typed that while scoffing one of those Lidl pretend Oreos. Don't have a hot drink though, so no dunking.
'the double hobnob dunk'
Now that does sound interesting...................might have to pick up a packet on the way home to try that.
My other half is the athlete, so I can eat as many biccies as I like!
I've got nothing on these guys...

I like those oat digestives. Brilliant with some of that Scottish black crowdie cheese. Or is that the other thread?
If ginger biscuits, dunked in very hot tea, had never been invented, I would be 8lb lighter.
As above. Digestive and Rich Tea only. FACT. Timing is critical, as is a mug thats big enough.
Wow, top website that Phil!
Now who's using long words, Phil?

Well I don't think we should try "thread fusion" that would really break the forum
Isn't half the point of running so that you can eat things like biscuits and not worry about it?
Dunking - best with (Bonne Maman) Galettes and any ginger biscuit.
Rich tea in green tea for me.
I always keep a naked woman beside the armchair though to lick off the crumbs afterwards - my crumb clean kit - is that normal?
If it works for you SFF
Probably best to dunk the biscuits first.
