The bin with no name is standing vigil at the kerb. It's not entirely selfless, he expects to be tipped.
In Mundany news, I have finally made it back to the swimming pool. I'm every bit as bad as I remember, only worse. I have decided to define it as having left room for improvement.
Morning. I am sitting in the sun and very warm indeed. I need to go find a radiator key today. Shall pop into Wickes when Igo buy cat food. I also need to buy human food but I can't get that fromthe same shop as the cat food. Anway, my trolly isn't big enough for the both.
I need to get out there and play today, maybe gently. I can ill afford to spend a dry sunny day indoors. There will be few enough of them.
Been out in the sun, hacking ivy off a fallen tree in the garden. Nice bit of fire wood there, once I've cleared away the ivy. Poor green bin is feeling a bit full now and I've barely dented the ivy pile. Better not put any more in, don't want to give it indigestion!
Jac what did you have in mind? Me, Bookie, Dawn and Saffy did the grimreaper last year and was fun. There are loads of ultra's out there and you thinking road or trail or fell?
How about The Ox in Wiltshire next year. Should be good, the medal looks like it's going to be stunning. I promised Goldie that I'd marshal so I'll def be there.
I'm doing two marathons next year, still hope to train for a few 5k's and get a time sub 19:30. That's my goal, how close I'll get is anyones guess. I really need to be on top form for that. I want a good PB before I go downhill. Then I'll just run marathons and trail races.
Road or trail would suit me. Ideally down south sometime next summer. Hope to do the Thames meander marathon August bank holiday so it would be good training for an ultra. Thinking just need to up the distance of some of my mid-week runs as training so that overall weekly mileage is higher. Not really sure what is the best way to train for an ultra. Lots of conflicting information.
To be fair that’s true of marathon training so should be ok.
Oh forgot about the ox good call Mousey you might like it mate Goldbeetle is the organiser and I bet a lot of us end up roped into it in some way. go on go on go on you know you want to.
I was very pleased to find some sweetcorn in my turkey salad sandwich, however it was a bit messy, and I am now crawling around under my desk picking up bits of stray corn. Hmm.
UB had a look and very tempted so will wait and see what happens. Only fly in the ointment is I think it will be same weekend as the marathon I wanted to do.
I've had a very long and stressful day today. I want to go to sleep but I know that I'm not sleepy tired so will only toss and turn. Looks like I will be doing more unpacking instead then
Unpacking can be relaxing, in a 'literally sorting things out' kind of way.
I do still have feet. I had one of them irradiated earlier to see if my heel is broken. I think it's PF, but I may have a heel spur too. I'm hoping for a fracture (this is what running does to you!!!), as that would be far simpler to fix...
Cheeky cat has worked out that he can sneak into the house through the front door as well as the back. He is indeed a cheeky cat.
In mundany news, I just furkled around in my backpack for the first time since the Grim Reaper and found a bag of unopened Jelly Babies, I'm very excited.
Morning all - I have yet to unpack from our holiday last week - I'm terrible at unpacking...and we have a wedding this Saturday so I need to pack a different suitcase (smaller) which will probably not get unpacked for a while either!
We had to put the car lights on on the way to work today - the days are fair drawin' in
Morning to you all. DS, I love that you 'furkled' and found unopened jelly babies. That made me smile on this dreary day. Not seen the word before but it will be popped into as many conversations as possible from now on.
Something warming. It's cold. brrrr. Maybe curry or beef stew, make that Irish stew or a big soup woith fresh crusty bread to dip in or just go straight to the treacle tart and custard.

Putting off going into work, I have so much to do I'm really tired.
Dentist hate it and then to add insult to injury you have to pay!!!!
Weather not to bad hear today
Need a new challenge thinking of doing an ultra (will be first).
There is a shortage of goats cheese. Not a fan so no problem but it it was cheddar that would be a diffrent story.

That’s a very good question Cake.

Sorry WHM cross posting tell me more about the Ox please.....
Did a google search and it came back with Oxford ultra is that what you meant?
And less talk of downhill unless it's running downhill

Are you on Facebook Jacs? There's more info about the Ox on there. I don't think it's on t'interweb 'proper' yet as it's still in the planning stages
I'm feeling better, thanks. Bruised from all of the injections, but I'll live. I don't think I'll be rushing back to the dentist though...
(((((everyone)))))

Do both!
My feet are cold.

That word would be "footered" here - as in "I footered about and found some jelly babies"
I enjoy rifling through things. Furkling sounds fun too though.
Or snaffling through, that's fun too. (stupid lack of edit button, that really doesn't deserve a whole extra post)
I would have 'snaffled' up the jelly babies after 'rootling' them out.
Someone tell me what to cook for tea
