I have looked online but seem to have expensive Team GB ones, wanting to run a race abroad and would be nice to run in UK colours. Anyone know if any running shops specialise in these.
Most of us have FOSKA vests. Very good quality and last a long time.
If anyone knows of a GB shirt (with arms) thats of a tech tee quality - please post a link here. I love my foska vest but would love something with arms.
Those vests are lovely! Emmy, what's the women's sizing like? I know there's a size chart but it looks pretty generic and often things are larger than they claim.
Literatin - It's hard for me to tell as i've lost quite a bit of weight. I thought it came up a little large for women. I had a medium and it was big enough for me to wear with a tshirt underneath.
Elizabeth - have you seen the Foska shirts? or do you run regularly abroad and know what its like to have a fellow brit come up to you and offer support? It's really encouraging.
If you find it cheeky - can you explain to me what is the difference between an Adidas GB vest (or any gb vest for that matter) and a football shirt?
I'm sold on the Soreen malt loaf vest, and I have the supermarket receipts to prove it. I've had very average races recently in my boring black number. Running abroad next month and the GB vest is very tempting if I'm allowed.
I do like to spark off a good debate and love seeing the different opinions! You never know you might win me over.
I just feel that earning the right to wear a Team GB vest in competition is a massive achievement and something to be really proud of and I respect this. Wearing a Team GB vest when competing if you haven't qualified as a Team GB athlete is just not right in my opinion. I would say the same about wearing replia football kits to play in a football match. Wearing a non replica UK vest however would be OK in my opinion.
Wearing these clothes to show support at an event you are not competing at is fine in my opinion too.
Mrs Also-ran approves of these. Unfortunately she is a big Wallace & Gromit fan. Looks like I will be carrying the flag for Aardman and Wensleydale as I'm in negative brownie points.
Just found this discussion looking for a GB vest, thanks for the website recommend, vests look just what i want as off to Bucharest to run the half marathon in 3 weeks

"often things are larger than they claim."
not in men's sizing.

Thanks! Though it looks like I'll have to wait for them to restock the nicest ones anyway.
Unless you have qualified as a GB athlete I think it's a bit cheeky to run in a GB vest myself.

Love the Wallace & Gromit one
ED4 -- I'd assume that the OP meant GB "replica" vest.
I was planning to get a colman's mustard one or the London A-Z.
are you a genuine colman's mustard though?
a bit cheeky if you are not.
Skotty - What about if I try to eat enough of it?
I actually like the Irn Bru one but ruled it out as it'd be cheeky to wear it if not Scottish!
Also I am not made of real girders.
non Scot wearing Irn Bru top would be a bit cheeky.
a bit like wearing a kilt.
Does that mean you can't wear the Wallace and Grommit one if you're not from Yorkshire?
Depends on your body % Wensleydale composition.
ED4 -- Now see what you started!!!
"Does that mean you can't wear the Wallace and Grommit one if you're not from Yorkshire?"
you can if you can spell it.
