Well all Im saying is that if you were to look around the gym, Im the one who's most dressed for the part. The one who you would look at with my shiny new Adidas Boosts, my Nike Shorts and Shirt, my expensive designer towel and you would all be thinking 'Wow he clearly takes his training seriously, he must be quite the athlete.'
I went to Vegas a couple of years ago. Took shit loads of pics, so decided to sort them into three categories: "day time", "night time" and "food porn". I'm not even lying! Here are some examples then:
Best lamb chops ever.
It doesn't get more gratuitous than that. And then a nice view for selecting a dessert:
And since I've already posted my post-VLM'13 breakfast here, I'll also share my pre-race evening meal, by way of combined food porn + marathon preparation advice. As the caption says, "Pasta my arse!"
I wish I'd taken a photo of the dessert I had on holiday but it was a very posh restaurant and I didn't want to get kicked out! It was so rich even sharing one was too much.
I do have the description from the menu though:
CHOCOLATE-PEANUTBUTTER TORTE
Roasted Banana Enriched Yogurt / Salted Caramel
Phil - that's my ideal pre race meal too, even down to the broccoli!
Screamy - It's usually curly kale (steamed, little bit of butter and salt) with the steak, but I'm pretty sure Waitrose had tenderstem broccoli on special offer that day.
It's that time of year again. My rucksack gets a bit heavier with the Thermos flask being carried in to work and back every day. No microwave at work, you see.
I dont use Thermos's that much, but do they really keep something warm all morning??? So like you leave the house at 8 or whatever and by 1 when youre eating your soup its still warm?? Seems unlikely to me.
Mr I, you want to get one of these in your life. It's the mutt's nuts. Get it warmed up with boiling water whilst the soup's microwaving, leave the house at 8am, still piping hot at 1.30pm.

Yes they do. Double wall insulation. Have you ever put a hot water bottle under a blanket?
Well either Ive been living in a bubble, or I just dont use these new fangled double walled insulation things, but this is all like being told that magic really does exist.
I cant believe Ive actually just found out Im not the worlds leading expert on something!

You and Samir really are soul mates aren't you?
Anyway, this is a food porn thread, so post some food porn...
Ok, junk food doesn't do it for me but at least it's an attempt...
Top marks Muttley!
The trick is to cook it and leave the white a bit runny at the end.
I'm just off to make some halloween cakes, but meanwhile a quick shot of sugar, fat and caffeine should keep me going.
Coffee cake, anyone?
Quality thread! Needs more pics.

Oh, also CAKE:
Today's work diet included a McDonald's sugar donut with coffee. Lunch was Waitrose soup, sandwich and a damn good sultana and lemon danish.
Mrs is a food technologist. She was testing out a deep fryer by frying various types of cheeses in breadcrumbs.
Well thats my dinner done...
You don't eat your crusts? You'll go blind - or is that something else...
Eating your crusts either puts hairs on your chest or makes your hair go curly, maybe both.
Makes your chest hair curly?
Theres nothing suspect about my high cholesterol....

Soup of the week: pumpkin and bacon.
Lovely!
