A lot of people on this forum are interested in UTMB and its associated races, but how about this for an alternative if people are declined in the ballot?
There is an 88k option and a 168 k option. The 100 mile option is a bit of a beast, with 11000 metres of ascent/descent. The terrain seems to be fairly runnable for the most part however.

Looks amazing!
Has anyone on the forum done this and would like to comment?
Interesting option
The event takes place in Northern Spain. In the words of the organisers:
This mountain Ultra-Trail Race which is run across 5 comarcas goes through backroads and trails. Departure and arrival are in Beasain at a maximum length of time of 48 hours. The ehunmilak with a circular route goes around the towns of Beasain Zumárraga Urretxu Azpeitia and Tolosa.
Their website could be better for British entrants, but if people want to do it, then the details will be sorted out.
Looks good Ben, although if you think that 168k 11000m is a bit easy there is always Ronda Del Cims in Andorra at 170k with 13000m

I think I am washing my hair the weekend of the Roda Del Cims WiB!
That's a real shame Ben, I understand that a wash is needed from time to time though!
I have gone for the Celestrail, 80k with 5000m will do for me
WiB let us know how it goes, the fact that "many sections CAN be run" sounds interesting!
I will look forward to a race report of that!
