Comments
Never done it even in my Barking Road Runner days - in the 80s and 90s, may well turn out this year -
I love this race! Such an accomplishment to finish last year. Looking forward to another great year,
Online Entries now open.
does anyone have a map of the course?
Craig, this was last year's route - but start/finish area will be changed slightly this year. Majority of the course remains the same though

Love this race, can we have the snow again please!!
Finally entered for my 2nd year runnning. must say, the snow made the race very special. hope it makes a comeback
Need to use fenchurch st line and get off at leigh-on-sea
Thank you Carol. Is it easy from Leigh-on-Sea station?
Robin, it's not far from Leigh Station. Maybe a mile or 2. Cab would be cheap enough i reckon
notice its now full Karl,Any places kept for ontry on the day?
Keep an eye on the website in case entries on the day are possible, getting to the start is about the same distance from Benfleet or Leigh Stations. It's about twice as far from Rayleigh Station. If you get a Bus get off near Morrisons in Hadleigh, then walk down Chapel Lane to the start
I hear it's muddy out on the downs, so don't forget a change of clothes and shoes for after the race
I'm pleased to have nabbed a spot in this race. I'm not overly well informed about it other than location, distance and that I can expect to be supported by the best marshalls in the business (awesome).
A question about the terrain if I may .. I own road running trainers (Mizuno Waves) and some lightweight Salomon boots used for Paras 10. Which should I be donning for this run?
Thanks.
People do complete the run in old road trainers, but expect to slip and slide in the muddy sections. The route has a short road section so the route is not suitable for spikes.
If the Salomon boots give a better grip, they may be the best option for you

This is a brand new course, on the Olympic MTB Course, not open to the public yet.
