Had visions of completely breaking the list then but think it worked! i can move my days around if need be as booked the whole weekend for pirate antics and getting shouted at!!
There seems to be more of a social theme than a training one I see. Only me doing the Olympic proper on the Saturday Isn't it time they got rid of the Santas !!
I'm new here so take pity, but I'd love to do the Olympic distance event but as I don't know anyone on here I don't know how to enter . I can't seem to find where this event is either.
There is no entry, you just put your name down and that's it, then keep following the thread for updates and race instructions which are put up a week or 2 before the event
It is in Macclesfield which is about 20 miles south of Manchester
Im in the process of sorting out details for the 'official' t-shirts so also watch this space for them...happy for peeps to add details at the bottom of the list if you are SA then i can sort out a spreadsheet type thingy?
Getting exciting even if it does mean riding Pexhill/Gawsworth roads again (lots)!
I'm struggling with my running (again! Quelle surprise!) and don't think it'll be a good idea to get yet another London Marathon medal and bugger up what's left of my knees. So, I'm more than tempted to drive 'pop norf' and tag along if it's ok with you all?!
Mrs. SA google translate shows it means :-"Make a strong and open for" (WTF?)
I'm happy to train on either day and marshall the day I'm not training on, if that makes sense? But will go for the ½ distance in preparation for IM Nice! Also on for the pub Friday and Saturday nights, although I'm not in GB's drinking league!!
T-shirts, I agree with TB. B looks better (might be trademark issues or something similar with A!) But maybe the writing needs to be more legible? I'm easily pleased so happy to go with the consensus, assuming of course I'm accepted!!
I prefer the skull & crossbones. I went to a posh school and I did latin but I don't know what that says. "this is a kniiting club" thats a wild guess not drawing on my fluent latin. Where the feck is the spell check now ??!!

Merci.

You seem to say that as if its a bad thing??
MTB Diva
If you read the OP by myself and I quote
"Everyone that did this year should tell you what a great weekend it was - even if it was just for the social side!"
People have travelled some major distances for this and its all part of the weekends fun
I will be hopefully doing some training both days if i can.depends on when i have to pick up son from liverpool at some stage
always is, Just make sure you bring to wine or beer.
I'm new here so take pity, but I'd love to do the Olympic distance event but as I don't know anyone on here I don't know how to enter . I can't seem to find where this event is either.
Any help would be greatly received

Not a bad thing. I guess I'm used to quite serious training types. Of which I'm not. I'm never going to win anything I just do my best
Hi All,
Im in the process of sorting out details for the 'official' t-shirts so also watch this space for them...happy for peeps to add details at the bottom of the list if you are SA then i can sort out a spreadsheet type thingy?

What design are we going with?
or
I vote for B, manly due to the pirate emblem.
I quite like the second design Wonder what Fac Fortia et Patere means?
I would say the pirate DIY Half Ironman is quite hard to read, I like the fancy text but I would also like people to be able to read its Ironman
'Do brave deeds and endure'
I'm struggling with my running (again! Quelle surprise!) and don't think it'll be a good idea to get yet another London Marathon medal and bugger up what's left of my knees. So, I'm more than tempted to drive 'pop norf' and tag along if it's ok with you all?!

Siggy
It would be great to see you.
There is another same design with better wording
Bet you get what that means
I prefer the skull & crossbones. I went to a posh school and I did latin but I don't know what that says. "this is a kniiting club" thats a wild guess not drawing on my fluent latin. Where the feck is the spell check now ??!!
Cheers SA! Looking forward to it already! I'd best get some training in then!
MTB, It's NOT a knitting club!!
Love the knitting club t shirt but would prefer clearer lettering. Better get the premier inn booked I suppose.
Did someone mention training? - be good to catch up with you again Siggy.
That looked like it said 'knitting' to me
think you are getting wires crossed MTB
the Latin translates to...'It's not a knitting club'
Can you stick me and Horse down provisionally for the Sunday Half, cheers.
I'm in as well don't mind which day. I will Marshall for the other day, my wife shold be along for the ride as well but only to Marshall.
