AF: following the 12 week 55-70 plan but started 2 weeks early just on car I get a cold or a niggle
dibs: good luck for the review, maybe they let you pass. Crossing my fingers
what: 16.5 with 8@MP
why: bad weather forecast for tomorrow
last rest: yesterday
last. hard: should have been today but I felt amazing. One of those 'shit, I'm too fast but who cares I feel great runs' . PMP is 7:37 but I averaged 7:32 today
what - 2 hours (with a prakrun in the middle) Why - Long Run as racing tomorrow Last hard - Tues Last Rest - Yesterday
14.88m for the long run (inc a 22:50 on my watch 23:30 official as started late parkrun, that was muddy, was aiming for MP but too hard conditions for that)
How lovely chickadee - you bank that memory and hold on to it for those runs that aren't as great feeling.
You ready then Gobi?
Is it cross country tomorrow RFJ?
I sort of wish I had chosen the rest day today. Just back from three and a half miles and whilst it was quite fast for the effort it felt awful and I took ages to raise my HR. Must ensure I get a good mile in to warm up before the off tomorrow though that can be difficult at Brass with crowding and flooding.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
afternoon LmH - congrats on the silverware LmH Blisters - sorry to hear you're still struggling Decent milegae being logged elsewhere today too! what - 12 miles over the fields. Some really boggy parts (knee deep gloop) but higher wind swept parts were practically dry. bizarre. why - Parliament hill next week for southern xc last rest - dec 25th last hard - legs say this morning! lyric - not sure have a great day
Some good long running going on, as Dustin says...you included, sir!
What: 61 mins, 11k, so that's slightly quicker than usual for my "long" run. Why: quicker because about 5k was on the road whilst the rest was on muddy/puddly tracks and canal bank.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
LMH - Stubbington 10K road race, but by the sea.... could be interesting if windy (same race as Gobi, except he will be ahead of me by about 1-2 mins may be more as I feel fat and slow at present for me).
XC today was really tough, just couldn't get a grip on the surface at all, even with spikes on. Slightly disappointed with my performance but I know it wasn't too bad. Was about 5.5 miles and I started too fast. You'd think after 30 years I'd know better.
