None the less the battery should happily last a week of use without a charge, and means I won't need to keep charging my phone after a run. Also, the virtual partner would assist me when I try to edge past a pb, helping me to know where I am without having to keep looking at the screen.
I notice the 110 is actually being offered on Amazon at a lower price than the 10 at the moment. As the retail price is a lot more, are there reasons I should avoid the 110?

The 10 shows current pace, whereas the 110 only gives you average, as far as I'm aware. The 110 can pair with a heart rate monitor though, so it depends where your priorities lie.

Does anyone have experience using the http://www.awsmithson.com/tcx2nikeplus/ converter for Garmin connect to nike plus?
Yeah I'm using that nike+ converter and it seems to do the trick pretty nicely.
FR10 - how waterproof… I've seen conflicting reports. OK for the occasional swim across rivers does anyone know?

There's a good review here, they do talk about how waterproof it is and it does come across as being very good.
It does - and seems excellent value.
