howdie OH - andother fine looking feast! what - U11 coaching, maybe some easy running why - still throaty/chesty + tight hammy last rest - sunday, monday, wednesday... last hard - Tuesday lyric - again familiar but like yesterday's not immediately placeable
Does riding your bike aggravate your hips Dibs? If not then how about starting some bike mileage - not quite the same as a run but you get the daylight and fresh air.
So about that underground marathon Gobi..........
Doesn't sound good emzap, ill, stressed or both?
Another 20 miles for me this morning. I think I managed to get soaked through and dry again at last three times - but finished with the soaked through. Fortunately it wasn't too windy or cold.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
Emzap- Other than hips I am not really sure how to feel. Sad.. relieved.. not sure! Just trying to find happiness to be honest, this year so far has been really tough for me.
LMH- Yea I may start doing some biking, either in the gym or on my MTB. My knee has been hurting today, I think I moved funny in the pool.
Still not the best here, but at least still running, still very tired and still waiting to hear back from the doctor, might try and ring tomorrow to get an update
anyway, 9.75m at club last night and 5m today
The weekend could be messy with a LSR and a 10m (Race) that I don't know if I will be able to race or not.... all will depend how I feel on Sunday morning
What: 7.13 (k, not m) Why: consistent consistency and 40 mins is the new 30.
Pammie: whilst I use "consistent consistency" I stole the phrase from someone else. Frank Horwill, I think! Prefer "progressive consistent consistency", i.e. each month being faster or more volume than the previous one, rest months, illness and injuries being exceptions
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
Random interludes of enthusiasm, increased training, disillusionment and regression. Doesn't have the same ring to it somehow. At the moment we are on the up. As I said at the weekend, I have been looking forward to getting in the pool again, as I had something I wanted to try. That was a 400m time trial. And the result...a massive PB. I did 9:01, and had a fair amount left in the tank. A couple of minutes rest and I went on to finish my allocated 2000m at a more steady pace. (My previous pb was about 9:30).
Run? no. Bike? no. Weight? Exactly 12st. Too many biscuits today. Party this weekend.
Same route as last weeks only felt a bit tougher, probably due to yesterdays run. Any way a combination of hilly bits, fast flat bits and fastish hilly bits.
