Hi All
I've been running for about 6 months and have become pretty addicted to running. I've decided to start a blog to share all my thoughts with everyone. If you can, please check it out. You can find my blog on: poweredbycakes.wordpress.com. Let me know what you think !
Thanks for reading it!

Perhaps there is a section explaining why being powered by cake is better than the generally utilised nutritional aides ?
Well if there's a way of refuelling with Victoria sponge on long runs I'd really like to hear it
And especially if there's also a way of rehydrating with a nice cup of tea...
I thought it was a blog powered by a certain forumite known as Cake
SJ89: pardon me for being blunt but loads of people come on here to tell us about their new blogs. Instead, stick around on this forum and join in the conversations here rather than writing a blog that, tbh, only your Mum will enjoy (and Mums have been known to fib to keep their offspring happy).
Thank you all for your honest opinions.
I know I am new to running, and I know that there are many blogs out there. I just wanted to share my personal account. Although I am new to running, I did row for 8 years, so I know how to commit to something ...
Muttley, I do occassionally join in conversations on this forum ... and will continue to do so, i'm sure.
Oh a rower who runs...
You'll struggle to beat this amazing blog! Note - not mine or my mum's!

There is a thread on this forum about running and rowing ...
Actually if you really want cake power then this might be useful.

so true..i am enjoying cycling much more now............but have also discovered the term caffi stop legs
C'mon Toro, admit it. That is really your mum's blog isn't it?
Tea and cake (notice the lower case 'c') is post seaswim nutrition.
Tea after (or during) a winter run would be perfect. Sometimes there's nothing I want more than a nice cuppa.
I think malt loaf is more of a generalised snack product. Probably a type of bread if we're having to narrow it down.
How like RW for a thread about a blog to turn into a thread about food
Poweredbygeneralisedsnackproducts.wordpress.com
I would read that Millsy.
There you go.... It works now
Millsy, I personally think of malt load more as cake than bread ... but that's just me. As you can see from my blog name ... poweredbycakes.wordpress.com ... I love cake !
My 2 year old loves malt loaf, and asks for some by pointing to it and saying "want cake pease" - so there endeth the debate: malt loaf is cake.
is banana loaf cake or bread?
I have a new blog womblingdownunder2.blogspot.co.uk Nothing about running, possibly some cake, plenty of beer
