Heart valve leak

I recently had an ultrasound scan of the heart done as part of a check up. it showed a leaking mitral valve and stenosis of another two valves.I was shocked. My ekg was perfect im 40 and 9 1/2 stone and i run 35-40 miles a week. i have done 6 marathons. The cardiologist said no more marathons but im not sure where to go from here with my running?
Im going for a second opinion soon.

This clearly needs to be taken seriously - no one on here can really advise you, a second opinion seems the only sensible option.
Hope it all works out for you.
Yeah I'm not going to go counter to the advice of a cardiologist who's seen your test results! I'd suggest you as more questions about running at your next appointment.
It is possible to have valves replaced but obviously you'd need to discuss that with the medics.
