I'm in! COME ON!!! Got confirmation this morning. My wife has not heard either way. What does that mean? Do they do men first? Do they do acceptances first? Apparently not if you read other threads. Do they just have people popping off to the post box on random days with random piles of letters/fleeces. Very odd! But I am chuffed. For the record: 3rd application, 1st acceptance and I did bequeath. Is any one keeping count?
Don't worry, I'll be out of here as soon as possible (nothing new there then!). In the meantime, my other half has been primed to break the news if she gets home first - white envelope good, post office card bad.
Even considered phoning the post office and saying "you've got a parcel for me, what time are you open til", just to see if they have! I'm so sad...
Should say – nice one to everyone who's definitely in! If you haven't done it before you won't regret it - one of the most amazing things you'll ever do.
I'm in too!! Mrs has just phoned me at work. Can't believe it - cheque not cashed, first time I've entered, didn't bequeath. As cheque not cashed I was about to enter Paris - Paris requires a medical certificate, so I've been to see the GP, so will have incurred a £14 fee there. Lots of hard slog now but VERY excited.
My husband mentioned that a parcel had come for me this morning and I thought "oh well theres my fleece!" but it wasn't it was an acceptance!!! Yipppppeee
Sythree - did you apply for Ironbridge? Now that I'm in FLM, I think it's a definite go-er as a training run. I've sent off, but not heard anything back.
Oh, and Arnie - it's "blue plastic envelope good"...
Cheers for posting that Keitho, I was beginning to think that I was the only one who hadn't heard!! I've already started the chocolate eating in anticipation of rejection
Longlegs, I ran for the NSPCC last year. Good fun - they had cheering points along the course which helped. I was too knackered to make it to the post-race party tho, so can't tell you what that was like. They sent lots of newsletters and training info along the way.
It is amazing because me international entry form arrived today too. See you all at the start. Worried as the number says 512!!!! I can not have that race number, can I?
never posted before but have been reading for a while. Don't think I can wait until tomorrow but can anyone tell me if you get accepted if you have to collect a 'black package' as this is what's waiting for me at the post office, OR is this just my fleece?!!

Arghhh.
Can't complain if I didn't make it though - got in on one of the extra 1000 bequeath ballot places last year.
Finding it very hard to concentrate at work...

My number is 6368 so despite being alphabetically chgallanged (W for Wood) I'm still a high number.
See you there!
