For Outlaw Triathlon 24th July 2016, we're looking for volunteers again to help out at the Bike Feedstation and nearby marshall points.
I think those that have helped in previous years will agree what a great time everyone has helping out all the athletes. Its also a nice opportunity to meet other pirates and give something back for the support we receive.
As previous years there are a lot of pirates racing and they need our support. We need at least 20 to make the feedstation run smoothly so hurry and get your names down.
Those helping usually get a goodybag, race crew top, packed lunch, free camping and a free entry to the Big Swim's on Saturday (all to be confirmed for 2016).

Not going to touch the list as that's a guaranteed fail but Mrs ScubaTrooper and 2 junior Troopers will be available to help probably after the swim start. I'm racing and am really looking forward to being on the other side of the feedstaion support and abuse.
I'm running this year, but I think others have managed some time at the feed station before the run in previous years, so I'm hopefully a yes

Last year and the year before I did Outlaw so I thought this year a stint on the feed station would be good - then I sort of entered for 2016 so I won't be on the feed station again - but my wife and one of my sons will be so:

I will be there to help following the conclusion my two wheeled pootle as No2 to "Team 24"
might be hard to work on the bike feedstation when you're riding the bike leg......
Good point Magna
Ok I will re-phrase, if I make it home long enough in advance of the bike cut off to be of any use to the feed-station, I am available for duty even if its to help tidy up!
fair enough.... my own point of reference doesn't even allow me to consider making it off the bike leg in time!
*stumbles in , knocks over list*
It seems like there is a lot but I'm happy to do it, planning on doing outlaw next year and I only know one person from the forums IRL so would be nice to put faces to the username.

It may seen a lot, but to run efficiantly we need 30-40 people overall, some will be coming and going throughout the day (post swim or pre-run), also:
10-12 people in position handing out, bottle drop, rubbish clearing, assisting athletes with problems. Tea and bacon sarnies monitors (Teapot One) & helper.
Just filling and moving bottles keeps 3-4 people occupied most of the morning.
We also need about 6-8 people at marshal points and to be able to manage a couple of rotations.
Thanks again for all the volunteers so far, the more the merrier.
Editing as I forgot we are forcing the mother in law to come along again. She did enjoy it last year, honest.
