love the imagery of your
run Lowrez, you'll be grand at Wrexham, you're making progress and will have
the compound benefits of the last few years behind you too. If you do decide on
Manchester there will be a good posse of us there
Snail, a message on Facebook today said that they had put up on
their website the information for their event next Wednesday. I think
that this should be similar to the info for the events next weekend but the
main thing is it says numbers are to be collected. http://www.phoenixrunning.co.uk/?page_id=2182
Becca - thanks for that.
Have read through and all seems very straightforward. It's obviously very low
key. No toilets of their own but not too far away. Am planning on doing 8
possibly 9 laps
lowrez - I'm sure you'll
be fine. When is Wrexham. As mr zuvai says you also have a wealth of experience
to draw on. All you need is the 5 hours isn't it? I think you're in the CC pen
Odeon-
for international runners you can leave that blank as it is optional. It
is only mandatory to be a club member and ASA license holder for SA runners.
Well, that's all posted - bloody spam traps meant it took a lot long to post than it should have! I didn't get a chance to make copies of what was posted this weekend sorry, but at least most of the last two weeks is there
Lowres - your chance to shine with that glorious list of yours!
I had a fantastic weekend of running up in the peak district lots of snow, mud and hills - glorious fun but feeling it in my legs, glutes and core today
another 50+ mile week - happy with the consistency at the moment. Looking forward to Heartbreaker at the end of the month.
Great work Mr Z, both on posting and running - glad you are recovered! What do you have on your feet in that photo?
I ran a 5 miler in a new pair of trainers last night and am shocked to have been half a minute per mile faster? Its probably the freshness in my legs after that week off, still, great confidence booster, have the engines finally kicked in?
Will post the list when I have a bit more time later on.
Didn't have to sign-in just to view today - looks like it was a glitch yesterday.
I know what you mean about the new format Southern Snail; maybe we'll love it in a couple of days.
Hmmm, this does look strange. Hope everyone doing good, not long now before the long dark nights are behind us all for another year. I'm off to sunnier climbs this weekend for a little bimble round Seville. Looking forward to exploring the lovely spanish city and possibly partaking in a drink or two. I need to keep my hydration levels up
Mr Zuvai, see you at Heartbreaker! We must try to find each other. I'm small - 5 ft 2, dark hair and will be wearing yellowish Inov8 Trailroc 235s and black Skins (possibly with purple piping) but not sure what top yet! If it's cold I'll have an orange/white/black UTLD neckwarmer on.
Lowrez - Am doing Jaw Dropper on Saturday. Same 6hr event as Becca just day before and different name Weather looking to be ok for it though I suspect the towpath is a bit muddy. Bit nervous actually, but will just take it as a loooong training run and its a great bit of bling at the end Bike It - well done. Sounds like its all going in the right direction
Dang; to get those links to go blue I had to lob a bit of html code either side of the text, for each one individually, which took a bit of effort. Posting it worked OK, but when I go back in to edit it, all my bits are missing; I think the act of triggering the editor must make it "cleanse" what I managed to jam in originally. So I think I've lost my edit despite it looking good above. I could repeat my inserts and save before posting but that means I'll be the only one with the original blue - it would of course be much simpler if this new system displayed web links as blue by default, like it was in the "good old days" ha ha!
Good work Lowrez, thanks for persevering with that. Anyone doing London - I'll be volunteering at the finish line this year. Quite excited about it, never been an 'official' volunteer before, although I have helped at the RW unofficial aid station at Mudchute in the past.

Marty- Yes it was me on Sunday. Good to meet. I think we may have caught up back in 2012 but a lifetime ago!
3.10 for me on Sunday so pleased to get a qualifier in the bag. Aiming for 3.18 but 1st mile felt alright so just maintained that pace.
Quick question re club and licence number on the Comrades site. I'm unattached so is it ok to leave blank or do I need to do something different?

Another downward pointing thumb for the new format...
In other news, I ran 20+ minutes non-stop. Without pain. Maybe I'll down grade my 'injury' to 'niggle'.
I'll have to have a look at the old training diaries when I made a come back from injury in mid-Feb to run my only Bill Rowan

Hope all is going well with the sharks Southern Snail.
Have a good cruise around Seville tomorrow Marty, hope you get well Dirty too Becca!
good luck tomorrow to Becca and Marty
Lowrez - well done for the list but I didn't understand too much of your technical talk
