hip replacements will i ever be abler to run again?

due to avascvular necrosois i am due to have both hips replaced, havent run for nearly 9 months now , nor done any exercise except swimming. Have been told if i behave i may be able to run , anyone out there had hip replacements and are running again?

At my old running club - Our Senior Coach had both hips replaced. Could he run ? Yes - Could he run very well? - No & he has a very uneven and awkward gait.
You may be able to do some limited running - but like a knee replacement - your risking wearing your new joint out quicker than if you don't run
