Venice Marathon

Has anyone done this? Flat? Hilly? Boring/interesting? Well organised?
I'm on the fence for sub-3 and trying to work out whether it's worth going for it as weather's looking good too.

    i did it a few years ago, it's a great route but it hurts as you near the finish at 13 miles, you'll hear the crowds cheering the finishers, then you get guided past as the half marathoners sprint for the finish, you'll pass some of the finished half marathoners getting changed and getting ready to leave, and you realise you're only half way, and it all goes quiet again...and you'll see dancing, a lot of dancing.
