Hi,
Over Xmas I went snowboarding and didn't run. I came back and did a 8 mile run (probably a good 2 week break with no running).
The next day I had a pain (3 out of 10) in my left foot but it felt stiff and raising it was difficult. This has persisted all of January, I've only ran twice but now I've just given up. I'm setting a physio who is giving me exercises but I'm seeing little progress. I know this is probably a bit vague but what would other people do in this position? Do I go back to my doctor a nag him to get referred to a specialist or do I just accept I can't run and give it another month or two?

As well as the exercises, I just wonder whether you would be better seeing a biomechanical podiatrist, or at least alongside physio. Then at least you are getting the opinion of a foot specialist.
