Tuesday 26th February 2020 - In a basement of an empty house

Morning.

Lyrics - In a basement of an empty house

I initially read that as 'flapjack' assembly OH LOL. It does sound like a productive day and well done on hitting your swimming target with days to spare too.

Cold here today but forecast to be dry and not too windy. Knees and lower back were niggly yesterday (no idea what upset the back) but I'm hoping that the rest day helped and I can run this morning. Will have a better idea after my walk.

What:           LSR
Why:            VLM
Last hard:    training this winter
Last rest:     24/2
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning..

LMH glad I wasn't the only one who read "flapjack".. :D  Maybe we were hungry at the time?  Hope your back and knees agree with the LSR - at least it is only cold today.

Good day yesterday OH.  Very useful you can do (some?) of your own van repairs.

The UK must be swimming away on all that rain.

Poor Cleo Wabo, hope she is feeling better by now.

    Pancakes today anyone?

What: rest day - probably a short walk to loosen up the legs
Why: need one after 29 miles in 2 days including a race
    Last rest: today
Last good run: yesterday's 19 miler (actually 18.98 - oops) - set off with tired legs but they coped very well with that distance at the lower end of my long run pace.
Last new toy: a Coros Apex watch.  Need to work out which buttons to press when yet.  Plenty of statistics to look at that I didn't have before but I should really be working.

    Lyrics no

Flatpack assembly was actually a bit disappointing: bought off marketplace and 2 bits (drawer backs) missing. A bit like finding an jigsaw is incomplete :'(

    Today may be less productive.
Tele online professional learning session early evening.

Pancakes for me Hazel. Nice long run there. Hope you can get out for your walk.

That's a pain about the furniture OH. Do you have any forthcoming races?

    Is your back improving Alehouse?

That sounds like a hard session Dustin.

Do you make your pancakes with a flax egg or bananas Wabo?

Niggles were quiet enough after my walk that I decided to make today LSR day. Although things are improving three changes of route were required because of flooding and one for a fallen tree.

    Afternoon!

Well done on getting the LSR in, LMH. Was pretty foul conditions for my short excursion! Back is improving but was tender first thing: too much cleaning yesterday!

Well done on the long run yesterday, Hazel. I think I would have been tempted to go a tiny bit further!

    Edit: pancakes d&d.

I've not heard as oil as a substitute for egg in recipes Wabo. How much do you need for each egg you're replacing?

I'm glad your back is improving Alehouse. I have no idea what I did to set mine off yesterday but fortunately it's much better now.

Hope emzap's household is all on the mend.

Pancakes without eggs do sound a bit sad ...  do they taste ok?

Glad your back is better and you got a long run in, LMH. Has the wind died down where you are? It's still howling here ...

    I love flapjack assembly :D

Ouch re. those intervals, Dustin. That's something I don't miss :)

Very good miles, Hazel. Watch sounds interesting. I'm beginning to fall out of love with my Garmin a bit. The GPS is less than reliable when I run in town. But that may also happen with other watches given the size of the buildings around...

What: 10k of rolling hills on the TM
    Why: too foul outside
Last hard: time was passing veeery slowly on the treadie, I found that really hard
    Last rest: 16/2
    Lyrics: no

It was just normally windy today chicksta - gusting low 30mph so much better than it has been. I love my 230 - it even did really well at London last year - which Garmin do you have?

Hi all. Busy day or two, just finished pancakes.

Took Sunday as a rest day, then 5 mile run yesterday with 3 at tempo pace. Only had time today for 5k row. Having an easy week but needing to keep reminding myself that it's OK to not do as much exercise currently.

Lyrics no, though I knew yesterdays
