Morning!
Lyrics: Rising up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Creature related!
What: easy run
Why: being careful after yesterday's longer effort.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Lyrics: no today, yesterday's were The Doggie in the Window sung by Patti Page.
Glad the test run went basically ok yesterday Ale.
The Orkney article has reached the press here in the meantime.
Good to hear that you are in less pain at the moment OH. Thanks for the pics yesterday. There were some swimmers in the river in Bern on Sunday - I only put in my fingertips on a ferry crossing. Wouldn't have wanted to attempt to swim there - the current was fierce.
Sorry to hear about your dad Chicksta - wishing you and your family all the best.
What: some sort of speedwork over lunch (mad dogs etc.)
Why: things to do this evening and I can't work after lunchtime anyway (planned power cut)
Last rest: 1.07.23
Busy work day yesterday and then some baking and stuff.
Just run 6.2 miles, that will do for a taper week. Yoga in a minute. Going out for dinner with our friends who are up this week.
You guys put me to shame with all your speed work but my pace is getting very bad.
Ale - deserve an easy day after yesterday!
Chick - sorry to hear about your dad, thoughts with you
Els - still a decent enough run today. I caught up with the Orkney news. I think I'd take being Norwegian over managed by Westminster or the SNP!
Hazel - enjoy speedwork

why - schedule
last rest - 09/06

Off to stay with my mum for a couple of days, she isn't great and I am permanently worried so it makes sense I go there
Dustin, I think I'd stick with the status quo, what happens if for example you need specialist hospital care, are we going to fly everyone to Bergen or Oslo? Where do we get our food deliveries from, it's clearly a ludicrous idea!
Good to see you Wabo, and hear of your adventure up Mount Lanydroch. Possibly the toughest parkrun in the country.
What: turned out to be better than expected after a pedestrian start. 43 minutes banked. Then a fair bit of cross training in the garden.
