Hi, we are two students in loughborough and wondering if there are going to be any people going passed our doors to the silverstone half marathon. We dont have cars but have money that we can wave at you in return. please please help.
Ha, sportsd students here arnt quite as friendly. they are usually serious athletes who compete rather than up for a bit of fun. Doing it in 1:40 or waitng for us inst an option
No just two mad people. Its a really nice course though. was nice last year at least. the pack seperates nicely in the first lap and your not tripping over like the london marathon. Come up with any ideas and let us know though. cheers
that would be great if you could pick us up ed m. Doing civil engineering. Hoping to finsih about 1:40. Did it last year as the precursor to london marathon. Really enjoyed it so thought id do it again plus frineds never done a marathon and doing london for charity so needs the practice.
Hitch hike? that always adds an element of exitement to the day, Hitch hiked from Manchester to watch the Alex at Brentford once, we only just made it into the ground for kick off, we won so it was all worthwhile.
OK cheers for the ideas guys. Car is a prob as have to be over 21 to hire as far as i was aware and were looking at 19/20. TRain sounds doable. Hadnt realised northampton was that near. National express. Hadnt realised they went that near but worth a look. Cheers

Sorry
how about leaflets under doors of the sports students there,,, someone must be willing for a bit of cash and a beer.
Sad thing is they must have all started somewhere.
Take it you two are not sports students then?
What made you pick this one then, F1 fans?
I will see what i can do for you guys. Fingers crossed.
i went to loughborough and did diddly all sport whilst i was there.. joined the cycling club and got dropped on their social ride.
i'm trying to get my wife to commit a yes or no to whether she's coming to watch or not.... so i know how much space i've got (not alot in the back!).
it's 30mins in the wrong direction but possible.
Is Elvyn Richards still there or has it fallen down yet?
andy: can't gauruntee anything at the moment i'm afraid.
i have one last person to try, hoping they can let me know tommrrow ( Thursday)
If they can't help out , that it im afraid!
Or have you any mates further down the country that you can get to that can then take you?
Or a train to Milton Keynes + Cab but this will cost a bit.
Or if you have a licence, lookat renting a car for the day ?
Easyjet cars are quite cheap.
Andy
