I did my first 10K today, in 1hr 4mins and 40secs - unofficial! Very pleased with myself, as I thought I wouldn't get under 1hr 10mins.
I'm never going to be very fast because of my shape and what I have wrong with me, but running has made a huge difference to me in just a few months. Even my mother-in-law, who has never been free with compliments, said recently how well I looked. It really must be obvious!

When is your next race?!
Mighty White - You already have tremendous courage, you're a runner! I'm no expert, but I've treated the two races I've done as slightly faster than normal training runs, and it has got me through. You can do it!
Next on the horizon for me is Hereford 10K on 1st Jan. After that, I'm hoping to do a half marathon before the end of March, then the seriously scary Black Mountains Roundabout in April (walking, not running!), I'm praying to get an entry for the Reykjavik marathon in August and if I don't, will probably aim for Royal Victoria in October instead. Eeek!
I hope you all have a very happy Christmas and New Year,
Love from Snoozy Pup
Good luck in Hereford
