Don't worry - you wouldn't have seen the lake - it is in the Gatton grounds but not near where you run. However i believe the school still has the old outdoor swimming pool - a detour may be in order later!
I think I did better than last year so I'm happy :-)
Those hills though, it really is a tough one. Was made harder by coming round the corner onto the steep hills to see everyone else walking - there is no way you can carry on running when the person in front has stopped.
Immediately after finishing I said 'never again' but actually really enjoyed it, think time in the end was around 58 mins. THOSE hills! Oh and Lindihopper I agree with you re: the walking!
Very well done to you both- Lindi - when you say you can't carry on runnning when seeing people infront walking - is that because it is too narrow to pass or that you feel if is is too hard for them therefore for you too?
I like running, even very slowly - passed those walking, gives a psychological advantage, then you can walk when out of sight!!!!
Lindi - no not lame when it comes to hills around Gatton/Reigate! I do remember how steep the hills are and walking is the better option, plus it was so hot last night too. Well done all, expect to see you all at the Holly Run, December in Reigate - not as bad as gatton honest! - bye for now!
I myself was searching for the above, but then phoned one of the organisers who gave me the address of Mr Peter Day of 26 Beaufort Close, Reigate RH2 9GD. Who kindly supplied me with a copy of the results.

I did try & tell myself not to walk the hills on the second lap, but my legs seemed to belong to another body & didn't get the message :-)
I know it is a lame excuse!

my 50K in expected temps of 81F on Sunday will seem a piece of cake by comparasion with last night!
Good luck for Sunday, I'll think of you whilst doing my 5.8m!
Snoop - hope you enjoyed your 50k. I melted on the hills in Brighton!
