Have managed to SEP the surgery design issue by taking a week's holiday! Still got lots of stuff to sort out around the house, but we have had a couple of tradespersons cancel their appointments for this afternoon, so all is not as manic as I feared! I reckon that 'ring me at work' then leaving the answering machine on should stall things for a while, til my designer can get her act together!!
off to track down broadband connection for home now...
Why, if broadband is so much quicker, does it take weeks to organise? )
Signed up for the Slog, sounds like there will be lots of peeps there; I will wear my Porkworld T-shirt in honour of the occasion...
Stroud 1/2 yesterday, on a long run of no more than 7 miles. Sub 9.30s until mile 12 and 13 (just sub 10s) Finished in 2.02.33, quite happy really! That can count as my first long r*n towards London next year. It just goes to show that there is no substitute for long runs in training, though...

We're you on supporting duty anywhere yesterday? Is Will better now?
Haven't been supporting anywhere since Vitruvian. ( Used up my supply of 'desert the family to play with friends' tickets.
But I'm doing the Sodbury Slog and Grim in a couple of months, so shall be seeing things from the other side of the fence for a change!
so - can we assume if you make it around those 2 then TG is on the cards????
Next question?
:op
Can't afford TG anyway.
and I am also a Grim virgin...........
so to speak
Although it might bring back memories of my military past...
[shudder]
Hello, BTW.
I was down for the last Grim - still got the number in my drawer. But I had bronchitis and couldn't do it.
This year I think they're going to make it tougher coz there were so many complaints that it wasn't Grim enough last time!
Gulp.
Slog's going to be a warm-up for me.
;o)
morning all
Jj - Petal said she'd run with you at Slog if you want.......
where'd my post go?
I said:
":o)
That's sweet of her, FB. But I'd only hold her back - she's a speedy peep."
But it's been et!
morning Slidey! [wub]
see how the day goes eh?? if Shambs does it she may stay with you as she's not speedy......depends on her hip flexor injury though..
No probs - I train alone, I'll probably be best 'racing' alone!! lol
Now then - this weekend, I shall do Piggott's Lane. I think it's a 1:1 at least. :oD
I did some during my fartlek session last night. Them's 'ard them 'ills is!
I'm not scared of them any more, put it that way. And the ones I have conquered recently aren't steep, they're just loooooooooooong!
I'm starting the steep ones on Saturday.

So empty in ere there's an echo!
Thought I might as well put ONE post on here today at least.
Hope everyone's OK.

Crashie! Will we be meeting at last in Sodbury?!?!?!
