Roight I have this mate see and he's a tad worried
Over the last year or so he has been thinking he's going mad
When he sleeps he has nightmares , he can't concerntrate , when he talks he sometimes loses his way and stumbles over words or worse speaks unintelligable words. Also he has been experiancing dizziness but only in the middle of the forehead
He's a bit worried really
Oh and his short term memory is shot

but get him to see his doc
btw , love the fuzzy felt hippo pic
these things need checking
if everything is ok, then it helps to have a do onfim this
ad docs can help withstress stuff too, if it is that
Tell him to go to the Doc.
Tell him to go now.
t
a GP might have acess to stress management courses
but they might not
this is relevant --ive had 3 patients recently who really need help-ended up in hozzie with stress stuf-medically fine, and i cant help
my registrar today-well , he could nt belive i spent 10 minute with a patient on the ward round today
patiet says he isnt stressed
you ould FELL it oming form him, after 10 mins he was tearful, os i was listening to him
and i had NO f--- back up to help
and theress no help for me
its crap
Guess it's cos stress is 'all in the mind' and 'really, if you just pulled yourself together' etc etc (ahem, if I pulled myself together much harder my insides would be on the outside)
Oh yes, and of course your patient won't admit he's stressed.....he won't get a job ever again if he has that on a medical report to a new employer. And his current employer will write him off if he has stress on his sick-note.
Cynical? Yes. Bit worrying really since I work in HR.....my boss says stress doesn't exist. Bah humbug....maybe I'll go to a private GP and refuse to tell them my NHS doctor details that way the details can't end up on my medical records.
will go to work now.
My swearing is limited
and you dont want to type and retype in the middle of a rant
Seriously-------we should have more access generally in this country to stress management stuff
the bst I could do for this chap was to send him bak to his GP, and give him a little of my time
Ive also given himm an outpatient appointment-in case his GP cant help
But officially thats only a 10 minute slot he isnt medically ill and Im no trained ounsellor
Im too soft
hm
OK, we may then have to step up work on heart disease and obesity....but a bit of extra running should solve that little lot :-)
(PS sorry for earlier rant....and please don't assume all employers are as *ahem* charming as mine....it's a Finnish company and to be honest they'd prefer not to have any women in the workplace)
I have moved in with my sister, and am still seeing the boyfriend, but he is sooo stressy all of the time.
I say that cos I just don't like the sound of it. It needs sorting.
I send you all good green vibes for St Patricks Day !
