Does anyone know where I get one of those frames to put my finishing photo and medal in. I believe they where on sale at one of the expo stands but I didn't see them. A web address would be gratefully received.
7"x9" - £19.99 P & P £4.00 10"x14" - £29.99 P & P £4.50
I spoke to the lady and man for a while as they live near to me. They demonstrated how the frame works, it has a soft pad which looks velvety different colour on both sides (black and blue I think). All you do is lie the picture on the padding and your medal(s) then put the back on. As there is padding the medal and picture do not move.

p.s. There stand was really small so could easily miss it.
There is this address on the Marathon website - it looks like the ones I saw at the expo. http://www.avidboutique.com/personalized-items.html Much more expensive than the ones that Lorraine is suggesting though.
Avid Boutique appear to be the stand that were next to the Lucozade, immediately as you went in. They sold all the expensive memorablia for the marathon, bears etc. They were advertised in the Marathon news. I still have floor plan, so I just looked them up
Last year I took my medal, certificate and 2 pictures to my local picture framing shop and had the whole lot mounted for £40. It looks really good and I was able to select the frame colour and mount background to match the medal ribbon colours etc.. Going to do the same with this years as well.
There's also a link from the London marathon site main page - follow "Souvenir Marathon Plaque". Personally I thought they looked a bit tacky, but maybe that's just me!
That whole Avid Boutique stand was like some kind of hellish running subsidiary of the Franklin Mint. Some of the most horrendous tat I've seen in ages. Surprised they weren't also selling the Diana/Pope John Paul Joint Memorial Plate of Hope or somesuch.
If you are looking for picture frames for your medals, try our frame builder at www.3dframing.co.uk where you can select from a range of frames and mount designs.
Don't use www.medal-frames.com, I just bought a frame and it took him 2 months to deliver it. He rarely responded to emails and only posted the frame when I registered a complaint with PayPal.
Instead just buy a boxframe from ebay / amazon and a card mount, slip your medal ribbons through the card frame and then you can display as many as you like. Quite cheap too

Two possible spams, though one's probably a bit dried up now
