that there were people slower than 46 mins. I took 46 mins and was about middle of the range being started. Loads of people started running before me so they must have been going longer than 46 mins. Some WAY more.
why wont they record the slower times? its all very well you getting anoyed Dan-but as one who is routinely last im geting a bit demoralised at least i want a recoreded time-i might do a pb-and if im not allowed to wear a watch----
not gettingat you dan but i know people are nice most runners are but as a fat slow plodder at the back-its usual for me to finish when all are packing up and i usually miss the pub, cos i just ewant to go home and die of shame by that time
I like big races, where there might be someone at my level i am last in most of my local races (((((((((
Plodding Hippo - Well if you look at the distance it is actually 5.9 miles (10K is 6.25 miles). Therefore taking into consideration your pb for 10K is 65 mins then your estimated time for "racin the basin" is 61:22. So you have just broke your expected time by 3 minutes and 38 seconds without even running. On this high note can we expect to see you run tomorrow?:)
Okay okay okay! I know what you are all going to say but I am afraid I am not going to come. Woke up this morning and realised the amount of stuff I have set myself to do today and its too much. So I am not oging to come to racin as this will free up the whole evening for me. Sorry guys - hope to see some of you at Arden in a couple of weeks.
Hippo, you can't be last in a handicap race!! Just get down there and put your time down as 62 minutes or whatever, start first. And then you'll finish AT THE SAME TIME AS EVERYONE ELSE!! That's the whole point of a handicap race!!
Anyway Mudlark ran last year, and ran about 63 mins. I ran 51.30. There were loads over 46 minutes, god knows what that's about!!
Me and Prue are just toddling round tonight. Both suffering from injuries (only my 3rd - and longest - run in 4 weeks). Gonna put around 53/54 mins I think.
Yup it was me who was slowest runner last year, but as I was not the last to finish it didn't seem like it. Unfortunately, due to bad leg I'm not running this year.
Plodding Hippo - as I remember it, everyone was really nice and friendly.
Just got back and want to say that it was a great run today. Good to meet the NLRISP lot. Hope to join you in the future if that is okay. Speak to you soon.
work sodded this up for me-just as well i did almost come last in a handicap race(10 min miling, beat my predicted time) in jan people dont tell troof about times you see

last years slowest time was 46 minutes
hm
Might rethink
Why do people think this was a fast one?
Behave, would y'all?
There were peeps of all abilities, including several over the hour.
Caz, Juicer and I were all at that race and probably did somwthing like a 45 a 48 and a 50 between us.
And there were loads of slowe people and loads of fast people but the bottom line is that they were all NICE people.
So just do it.
