There is a training voucher scheme at work that entitles you to £100.
You can spend it on something work related (e.g. books to study for further relevant qualifications) or non work related (e.g. driving lessons, gardening manuals) in which case I would be taxed.
Have called & asked if I could use it towards purchasing a laptop - they seem to think so. Do you think this is a good option? If so, where can I get a 'cheap but ok' laptop from in the next 24 hours?
Or I could buy a load of 'how to' books & give them as presents at Christmas.
Are there any running/sports-related books you'd recommend? Sports therapy/massage in particular.
The deadline is tomorrow to submit a claim. Time is ticking...

What about doing something like learning sign language?
Dunno why a desktop isn't the same as a laptop though ?
Maybe a PDA - they're fun and cheap.
anything from your local "private Shop" should fit into that cat.
