Hi there, this race is run over an undulating course. It goes out from Ashlawn Road down towards Barby (undulating)up through to Barby (big hill) along the ridgeway to Kilsby (mostly flat) then back towards Hilmorton (undulating) and along Ashlawn Road, Percival Road etc back to the track.
Rugby Running club meets Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30. The running track is located next to the Ken Marriot Sports centre. Just turn up and we will be pleased to see you.
Uh-Oh! This 'big hill' at 4 miles sounds ominous, as does the liberal use of the word 'undulating'. What are we talking about in terms of how much slower than a PB the course is? Thanks.
Did the run 2 and a half minutes slower than last year though, perhaps carthorse hill was longer this year. It was very well marshalled as normal. See you next year.
Good event. Friendly and well organised, despite my misgivings about the lack of available information beforehand. Carthorse hill quite tough, mainly because not knowing it I kept thinking the top was at the next lip [which it wasn't] but overall the course was probably only about a minute slower that a flattish one. Thanks guys, see you next year.
