If "cellulite" fat is just ordinary fat, then presumably the dimpled appearance is dopwn to the location of the fat, ie the fat is pushed against the skin harder than it would be elsewhere.
Diet drinks apparently have a high sodium content, which is a strong retainer of water. I may have that wrong, though.
I think that the diet coke and caffeine theory is a complete red herring, by the way. Yes, cellulite is just a posh name for dimply looking sub cutaneous fat deposits.
Why am I not surprised to hear that Hilly is a cellulite free temple? (Worship, worship)
Lizzy B? Hmm a conundrum. I don't know much about your diet.
RRR- I'd agree, starting with the healthy diet. Cheese, chocolate, & sausages are the guilty parties in this house. We don't do the ghastly take-away style stuff.
So, if my wife and I eat similar foods, just of varying quantities to allow for my running as opposed to her swimming/walking, why is there a difference between us? Is it because I hide my fat stored in wodgy handles?
Blisers, I'm not opposed to a take-away. In fact I have at least one a week mainly at the weekends.
I don't drink fizzy drinks or ever have since a child and didn't have them a lot then. Never really liked them. Coffee I drink occasionally, but somedays I'll have just one hot drink the rest is water or juice. Also, I don't drink alcohol apart from the odd glass of red wine.
Chocolate I love and eat in moderation. Fatty foods like sausages I hate so eat very little of these.
If it pleases if I squeeze the skin on thighs together very hard I can see a few little puckers, so maybe it's there, but very deep under the skin!:o)
Blisters, another thing I'm led to believe if you exfoliate your skin often and use a body brush to pump up the circulation this helps. I do both of these at least once a week.
I always had some circulation problems that foster the appearance of cellulite on my legs, especially during the summer. Exercise alone wasn't always enough. I tried dermalmd cellulite serum and I am really happy with the results! You have to use it constantly for a couple of weeks (at least this is what happened in my case) but you can definitely see improvements. Moreover, I love the fresh sensation that leaves after the application.

And I hate all of you that don't.

I'd say running and a healthy diet together will combat it!
