Thats the one. She is there for the pasta party. I have asked if she could collect but not sure if she can. I have also put out a call on another supporters thread and so hopefully we will definatly be able to organise something in time.
When are you traveling to London? If you are here on Friday I work very very close to the Tower Thistle and can meet you Friday afternoon.
Well my worst fears have been realised and after yet another trip to the physio this afternoon my London marathon dreams are over for another year. To say I am gutted doesn't do justice to the way I'm feeling as I also had to withdraw last year. I guess I'll have to take my chances in the ballot again for next year.
Nevertheless, I shall be at Mudchute on Sunday to wish the rest of all the best.
Ashley, email me if there's anything you need doing.
That is a real bummer...I know someone who had to drop out late last year and for it to happen two years ina row then..I can't imagine how you must be feeling...look forward to seeing you at mile 18...
Ashley...you do know that we're meeting at the Trafalgar Thistle on Sat. evening, don't you???
Dooz. Sorry to hear that but welcome to the other side. Lets hope 2004 is better and all us supporters get a place!
Ratbag. I know there is a pasta party somewhere but unfortunatly no chance for me being there, as Ill be getting kids to bed etc. (wife has radiotherepy on Fridays so Saturday is not such a good day for me to leave her with kids!)
I will be celebrating in style though and may indulge in the odd bowl and bottle of wine !!!!
Its going to be a fun day and I will certainly be running some of it with your guys when I try to get some photos etc.
A lot of fun is going to be had by all, after all last years FLM was decribed as a cross between Notting Hill Carnival and the worlds premier athletic meeting with new course records and the emergence of Paula as a world class athelete beyond reproach
Hi Another big thank you Ashley ,i should have time to stop and chat as i'll be in fancy dress and in need of a rest by 18 miles. did you say you might have some cider?? thanks again Seaweed
Well done every-one, just echoing other runners in the fact I can not wait to get to 18 miles to see you all it is such a HUGE incentive. See on Sunday
Mudchute appears to be an excellent place for you all to be. According to some information I have been reading this is usually quite a lonely part of the course with few spectators.
Can I really prut my hand out and grab some jellie babies even though you don't know who I am and I may not be able to talk ? My number is 40291.
In fact it's so kind of you all that I'd like to make a small financial contribution to help towards the cost - so how about I pass you over a tenner as I pass by.
I have got some supporters coming but they have 3 children aged from 3 - 8.
I will try and get them to visit you at Mudchute but alternatively does any-one have any suggestions on a good place for them to stand where the kids won't be pened in and can run around while the wait for Aunty to arrive en route.
I gather that our cheering spot was organised with this in mind. There is an area of grass where children will be able to play/run, and with ballons and plenty of jelly babies flying around, what more could they want!
My son is 7 and is looking forward to giving out jelly bellies cakes balloons etc.
I suspect it will be one for a runner one for me one for the second runner and 2 form me etc. By the end of the day he will be so hyper he could probably run the whole marathon himself!
We wanted to be the park side but this dosen't appear to be the best place for crossingDLR access etc. the green we have selected is not huge but certainly should be big enought for the kids to run around and play on. The average age also seems to be 7/8 so all the children should be able to bond quite well. Anyone unsure where we are would be worth visiting after the expo, all the better if you supporters are with you.

Now I can start looking forward to Dublin in October and maybe this time next year they'll do another FLM!
BTW Re sweets, wouldn't old fashioned paper sweetie bags be better and more ecologically sound?
I have negotiated the whole day off, so I can relax and enjoy my self.
Thanks for the offer though.
Chris.
Seaweed, what brand do you prefer as I will get the one least likely to cause you upset.

Will be bringing bag of bananas, box or 2 of Jaffas and a few bags of Jelly Babies.
Ashley - Should we co-ordinate possible medical supplies i.e. vaseline, surgical tape, tissues etc.????
Have a good one !!!
