for those who haven't noticed, it's filling up at a rather alarming rate. one week since registration opened, half of the 2,000 places sold. sign up early to avoid disappontment if you want to come on the austria trip
Is there an English application form anywhere? Or is it time for my GCSE German guesswork (coupled with some Googling)?
PLZ - postcode? Ort - town name? Verein - clubname - must be PSOF :-) ? Handynummer - is this mobile phone num for me or for a spectator? What does "keine GroBe" mean within the tshirt size question? Sonstige sportliche Erfolge - something about sporting success??? Tageslizenz wird benötigt - something about a day license? Only seems to give me a YES option anyway! Presumably I can just ignore all this stuff about Hawaii (as if!) Wettbewerbsbedingungen - presumably this text means something to do with "we're all going to die"?
I guess I can leave this until tomorrow... Still got to work on Shiraz anyway...
and what's panic buying about booking slots for the place you decided to go to before they sold out? that's just saying stupid things for the sake of saying them.
It's not that awkward a place to get too - straight off Graz airport for example onto the autobahn, 90 mins later you're in Graz. Just don't rely on multimap maps, as the autobahn in Graz goes in a bit tunnel under an A-road and it's all very confusing!
Ok, it's just been pointed out to me that I got very confused in that last message and it made no sense. So let me have another attempt:

or you can get a connecting flight from munich or vienna (or numerous other places) straight into Klagenfurt airport, from whence it's a €15 taxi ride into town. or if you're an idiot like me and monique you can lug your bike boxes on the bus. and get off at the wrong stop.
not me, I've got more chance of flying to the moon than persuading 'im indoors he wants a holiday in Klagenfurt!
And it's no good bringing up the relay event, he's just not interested. Won't enter another IM himself, would only do that if he had a chance of a Hawaii slot and he's 2 hours outside.
emma-melifera is doing it. debbo is doing it. over breakfast, without any prompting, mike-melifera went from not doing anything, to coming to cheer emma, to coming to cheer and doing the warm up sprint tri, to s*d it, coming to austria and doing it
there were loads more. gumps probably, leo had a glint in his eye, imp, plum if he decides he can afford it, i think klaus might be but i was legless when i was talking to him so i cant remember for sure
we had the genius idea of hiring a big van to ship bikes over. mike is driving it down from york, collecting in london on the way down. unfortunately ergo is insisting on being co-driver, so we'll need to ensure that we've got some bl**dy good insurance
MMMM, I dunno. One part of me wants to do Lanza for a tough one but another part says if I could just learn to swim and eat enough on the bike then I could do an 11 hour race on an easier course.... I hate decisions a year in advance!
lanza is a tough one, but they all are! just austria might be tough for 11 hours instead of lanza being tough for 12 and a half.
the big difference is the support. the support at austria is better than it was at germany (at least on the run course, and the bits of the bike that i saw)
at lanza there isn't much support at all.
depends what you like!
jo you won a hat or something at the awards party for being smiliest pirate, but you'd gone for some pies so i gave it to zuppy. don't let him nick it!
I can't believe I didn't get to meet the captain (or didn't know who you were if I did). I got the hat and for fear of getting attacked by Slummo I will go change my name to smiley woman in a minute!
lol jo i spoke to you briefly at the party i think, when we were making a complete hash of organising the voting system. i high fived you a few times on the course too.
My ankles are nearly back to their normal size today. I think I must have been a bit too careful to make sure I took enough salt on board. My neck is the only bit that's telling me I'm an ironman. All the more reason to learn to swim front crawl properly! (I blue rinsed the first lap and 1/2 crawled the second).

...just taking the liberty
plus somebody else, can't remember

I'm putting my name down for IMNZ 07, though I won't enter until I'm back over there and have an NZ credit card as it will be cheaper for me.
The atmosphere at Frankfurt has given me the inspiration to go for it again!

i was the pissed one insisting that the rules were fully explained on a piece of paper, when they weren't
