I hope the weather is nice. A nice breeze will be fine too. Haven't done any training this week, had to work over at work. Really busy, but I think I will be fine if I take it steady
Hi all. Sorry I haven't been around for ages - been soooooo busy and have OfSTED in at work this week. Haven't yet had time to read back but would dearly love to meet up with everyone on Sunday - is that still the plan! If so, could someone kindly post details in case I don't get time to read back.
Virus is still hanging around (8 weeks now!!!) but have been (sort of) training. Not done any really long runs but have kept myself ticking over with a few gentle plods. Just going on Sunday to enjoy the run now, not planning any PBs anymore!
Hope everyone is really well and look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Hi motr!! Yes I think the plan is now settled at meeting at town hall steps, shall we say about 8.45 (then we can join in the Leeds Rhinos warm up session!!!!! though I think Id rather not warm up with a man in a rhino suit). Then I assume the welcoming committee will be formed by the first one in and we can all head off to becketts bank for food and beer as appropriate.
I should add here that I may not be joining you to actually run. But will be there in some capacity, even if just as the "welcome to leeds" type, support group capacity. So for info I may be wearing a black fake fur coat, pink scarf and jeans if I dont feel better soon! Oh and a green ribbon of course.
Still managed half an hour on the treadie last night. Though I was a little tense. So have had dry toast for breakfast. Got told off for having a pint last night but felt ok then. Its v on and off. Yesterday I felt fine but woke up several times during the night. So what do I do? Not eat???
Still struggling yp1!!! Dry toast for breakfast is v boring. As I say its very on and off. Felt fine yesterday morning so thought it had cleared and got back to normal. Then felt cr@p again later on. Oh dear oh dear.....
stoxy dont eat now until tomorrow lunch, hard I know, but just drink water. Obviously soemthing is wrong, if you dont eat then there is nothing to 'upset' you again.
Will be at the town hall then, (hopefully I will find it!) Not sure about the pub afterwards, if I can persuade the 'jobsworth' manager to let me in with my teeny dog then its a big fry up for me! Failing that I will stand outside and sniff!
snail-was advised by nhs direct to eat high carbs and not take tablets to mask the symptoms and drink plenty of water. But I was going to just go without food!! Think the toast has worked though as I feel ok, have eaten some pasta(high carb as advised!!) and,er, nothing has happened as it were!!
see you all on the townhall steps on sunday morning then, ready for a rhino session! and in the pub after - Snaily if you're forced to stand outside sniffing by the door I will bring you a take out ;O)
If I can find the town hall I'll definitely be there with hubby in tow as he is running aswell. Is this pub near the town hall? definitely up for a fry up afterwards and then going to meet my daughter and visit some friends in Leeds.
PS, have been back to doc's today as my ears/general head congestion still hasn't cleared, and on top of the steroid nasal spray I've been taking for the last three weeks, he's also given me some really good antibiotics and antihistamine tablets. With all that lot inside me I reckon I'll probably be flying to the finishing rather than running!!!
After a brisk sharpener at the track on Thursday night, I can now definitely confirm that the embsay crew will be there - me, BAR and Aussie Vic - me and BAR having overcome months of injury (first proper race since London in April) and all three of us with horrid colds/coughs means I doubt we'll be setting the world on fire time-wise, but will pop into Weatherspoons afterwards for a beer.
Funny how the BBC were talking about the bad weather clearing today leaving a 'lovely' tomorrow. Presumably they were doing their standard trick of thinking the world ends at Watford.

Half an hour on the treadmill for me too this morning. I'm not sure about a Rhinos based warm up, I'm not sure I can bring myself to do that!

Cant really think of a solution to the doggy problem. Will see if I can come up with anything though.
(Says she who has just eaten crisps and M+Ms!)
My fingers are v firmly crossed....

See you all there (ive remembered my green ribbon!)

That's not how it was supposed to be.
