As you all know TriTalk has been hacked. The good news is that everything is safe and sound in a full backup taken as of Sunday morning at 01:00 - I believe Kev's Guiiiinnnneeeesss thread was the last, so very little has been destroyed, though I've not had a chance to fully check everything yet.
The bad news is how they got into the database through a vulnerability in the site's code. So, simply it's all there but until the offending code is found, it's not safe to bring the site back online. I have no idea how long this process will take.
BTW, I know you're very accomplished at this sort of thing, but maybe you could get your heads together with a couple of other IT bods - from TT. Sure they'd be willing to help if required to get to the glitch?
nah to TG - probably go skiing for some decent cold stuff that ain't as wet as the Killing Fields.............me old bones are past TG methinks so leave it to the young crazies like you............hard enough getting out of bed these days
I moderate on a board (non tri!) that is on a free hosting place. Can set one up if anyone wants me to? With smilies and you can post pics etc. (Nothing dodgy, honest)
I think this thread is a chance for me to come out of the closet, I'm known as Tr_Spark on TT, but here I'm Pebble the Pirate thru and thru. Avast all ye tripe-talkers.
rubbish fbf, come back! i will never forget that moment on sella rhonda and one partic bad red slope. i have never been so scared in my life. only been skiing a few days and this slope had a cliff on the one side. you can keep your skiing! 8oO want to do again thoguh to be fair.....just with lotsa crash barriers ;O)
well done bel. what did you think of the circuits course? i enjoyed that one. good luck with the case studies. recommend that unless you're in a hurry, not to do all three at same time.
But I'm wondering now...with all this back and forth between TT and RW. Anyone fancy a head-to-head?
How about the Serpentine New Year's Day 10K? Hyde Park. Pretty Flat. Traffic-free. Nice goody. 3k Fun Run for the kiddies. Online entry via the fantastic EntryCentral.net.
(True confessions -- I'm the race organiser so am somewhat biased...)
bel, I cant remember, but yes I believe its around 6months from the last day of the nutrition course for both applied nut and nut+wm. Personally the nut+wm case study has required less work for me from the three. Applied nut requires bit of work (submission of 4 assignments....1 per month) but they may not be too strict on their requirements. I made an effort to be on safe side. PT case study has a lot more meat to it. depends who you have.
elastigirl, many thanks. def helps with cold turkey. just hopes theres tea and cakes in there?
cleo, i reckon a friendly head-to-head should be sorted. we mentioned before but only the tough guy came about in 2005. maybe tough guy again? not sure about new years day! umph!
