Stupidly I played two games of sand 5 a side football yesterday so my legs are now knackered and achey and I've really hurt my big toe. I have a 5k race this evening so was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what I could do toe wise for the race. Should I take painkillers, ice it beforehand, strap it up, shoot myself in the head for being such a fool?

I used to play VERY occasionally 5 a side malarky...but as I am very clumsy I end up triping people up when I tackled them...which caused a few problems in itself.
As i was way fitter than everyone else I was running all over the shop, but decided it wasnt for me when some chap I was chasing a ball with ended up doing something to his ankle whereupon it was kind of pointing the wrong way.
Since then i decided perhaps it wasnt the game for me.
Backgammon is much less risky.

I am indeed a big girls blouse but I do feel that the big toe is a major part of running and thus it would be useful if I could bend it :-D
Ignore it and then complain bitterly afterwards:))
