What do you do? What do you need to do what you do?
I have (as posted on other threads) just handed in my notice but have nothing to go to. I know I want a very people involved job - if that makes sense. I just don't know where to go.
Hi Tulips, I have that problem too but I haven't just handed in my notice! I used to work in IT - that's peopleish. Decided I needed a break so I became an assistant or secretary - whatever you want to call. That's peopleish but annoying and you get treated like crap by some people. (Same as the IT job really!). I would like to be a paramedic or a nurse but have not training for either....that's people involved - maybe you do that? Although the money is pants so you really do have to be dedicated... that's my 2p's worth.. good luck!
teaching basic IT to Adults - learndirect type courses - you coud probably get some experience as a volunteer while you are looking for work - doesnt throw your previous experience out with the bathwater
then you could move into adult ed - lots of it courses - and holidays!
A friend of mine was a network manager with 2 primary school age kids and a hubby who worked long hours.
She sacked the network job and became a basic IT/applications trainer at a local college so that she could work school hours and keep busy etc. She liked it and found it so fulfilling that she has now taken a teaching degree and plans to go into it full time this September!
I must admit if I could afford to take a drop in salary I'd be a personal trainer, keep fit and earn money at the same time!!! Only male clients though...fit ones without beer bellies! LOL
forum moderator? On a slightly more serious note then working at a leisure centre might do the trick (though probably not starting during kids holidays).

If you are a good communicator and have good organisational skills, perhaps public relations?
