Hi guys - i posted on my support group 5 this afternoon and hope someone reads it, but thought I might as well ask here as well ...
the guy on the RW stand at Expo sort of didn't really know what he was doing when I gave him a couple of gels - I didn't put my name or number on them! Help, what can I do?
Thanks KayVee - I only need one, was donating the other one for anyone else that wants it. I will have one with me but wanted to be safe! Feel free to pass the other onto anyone at all who looks like they need a carb boost!
i have a few gels that were in my runnersworld rucksack i bought at the stand yesterday (in the vain hope it would contain a garmin 405.) i will bring those along too.
i have warned hubby away from the jaffa cakes. i have had to buy him a big packet of custard creams this evening and might have to make an emergency dash for doughnuts tomorrow.
digi camera (charged) bamboo poles for all group signs - bought group 3 signs (now made rain proof!!) - done clipboard with peeps details - done Wellington the lamb - packed flask (to take cuppa tea in the morning) - tick pom poms - packed brolly (just in case) Aitch's camera charger - packed Box with lid to put runner's goodies dry - tick big marker pens - tick 2 loud whistles - Hope Blister plasters - tick Deep Heat - tick Deep Freeze - tick painkillers (ibuprofen as well as paracetamol) - tick paper plates - tick fruit knives - tick bowl - tick oranges - tick bananas - tick mini mars bars - tick jaffa cakes - tick
I should be at Mudchute earlier than the planned 10am (due to slow crap trains from Milton Keynes), im now catching a train from Bedford as theyre quicker and hope to be there about 9.30..
Hope and I are staying Saturday night with Hashettte & Big Blouse. We'll be on the 8:45am from Letchworth - 30 mins to Kings Cross - then fight our way through to Mudchute.
barley - wave to my mum for me as you go past. she lives in flitwick and for the first time in years isn't coming to watch FLM. i have her at home on football score update duty for one of the runners in my group!!!!!! ah, the delights of having sky sports, eh?
Just surveying the pile of stuff I've got to take, and I have distinct feeling that cramming onto the tube with piles of jelly babies, jaffa cakes, chocholate brownies that mustn't get squashed, a brolly, lists of runners, a packet of sandwich bags with waterproof pen to write everyone's name on and an A3 sign on a 10 ft bamboo cane might not be the high points of the day
One of the high points of our days though will be getting to the much needed support at mile 17 to collect the above, really appreciate it hashette. You guys should all get medals too.
