have just come acrosss this thread, so sorry to but in!
I did this race as my first marathon last year (bought for me by my sister as a birthday present!), I managed 4hours 36, and did London last week in 3hours 57, so yes for us slower mere mortals about 30 mins extra on time is about right. Also with regard to your comment about parking, thet start and finish are in different places, but I presume there is a bus that takes runners from Llanberis, (we were dropped off by hubby) so don't know. Hill at 22 is a killer, so be prepared to walk a bit (or a lot!).
Atmosphere however is fantastic, not quite the amount of support as FLM but from other runners it's great, lots's of very friendly people, have entered again this year.
Hi, Lara. Get yourself over to the official "Snowdodonia" thread and some one there will provide a profile I'm sure. A bit of a technophobe I'm not up to doing it.
Although a hilly course the superb scenery and friendliness of the event more than compensate. See you there!

Cheers LYDLT I will try this way of thinking, thank-you we will have to have a drink after Snowdon.
I need to conquer that mountain ..................................
FR - thanks for the info. Can't tell you how much positive feedback like that means to me.
The pacing groups really interest me as I'm very likely to need them.
FR you do realise that your other thread is called "SnowDOdonia" don't you?
Was that to confuse all the mere running mortals who'd be searching for "Snowdonia"?
Or does the extra DO stand for something unexpected and rather exciting?
e.g. DOughnuts handed out at the highest point of the run?
e.g. DOn't do this race!
e.g. DO do this race!
e.g. Delightfully Organised?
e.g. Desks Obligatory?

If anyone is interested I've just found some great pics of the race from 2004 the link is http://www.uli-sauer.de/laufen/stories/2004snowdonia/2004snowdonia.htm
If anyone else knows of any good sites with photos of races from previous years, could you please let me know?
Thanks. I'm just trying to get an idea of what the route looks like.

Check out the Snowdodonia thread, folks.
Cathy L - yes, there are buses from Llanberis to the start (about 2 miles). Or you could jog it - a lot do - a good warm-up.
Is there elevation data available for the Snowdonia?
Want to see just how scary it is!

Try this one for size Lara, then come over to the "official" thread, as per T Rex.
I knew it. I knew it.
Now that DOES look scary ...
Not that scary. On my PC... that it works out at 4 cm of elevation - I think I can manage that
