I have found it just depends on the day. I have done half's and walked sometimes , others I have run through drink stations without stopping for water and felt like I could carry on easily.
Hurty heel is not quite so hurty this morning so there is hope for the weekends plod
Good luck to STs AS with his results today. My first year nurses also get their results this morning so there will be couple of stressy faces until they're posted on the net mid-morning.
Morning pub. Glad the hurty heel's better ST, and fingers crossed for AS
Got a day off. I'm off down SW way at the weekend, so Blouse and I booked a day for some us time. Had a lovely plod this morning, and a whole lovely day of doing precisely very little is stretching gloriously ahead. Might wander off to Cambridge for a bit of shopping and tapas later.
Good point TP. Hope you're day's going okay and isn't too stressy
Right, I really must not sit here messing about on the forum any longer, I can hear the call of La Tasca (or to be more accurate, the rumbling of the inner me). See you all later
AS got his AS results - very pleased and proud of him, as he got a good set of results (for him!) - all his hard work (and my nagging!) must have paid off.
That's good news, ST, after the finger-waggling you had to do at him this time last year!
Megawomble did really really well and will be off to Bath University to do mech eng. Boy Tadpole did well too and will be departing to Legafstep (work it out ).
Really really chuffed to hear it, well done to all of them
A fab day had over here, although it flew by. Most of it was spent sitting in the window of La Tasca people watching, drinking rioja and eating tapas. I could get so used to living like this. I should really turn my phone back on but........ nah, why spoil a good thing?
quiet in here last night. We were visiting a friend who has just had a bone marrow transplant and ended up staying later than expected. Will leave work early so I can get stuff posted for our weekend away. Need to stock up on baby wipes I think! Hope everyone has a simply splendid Friday. x
nephew not so clever but has identified another course at same place with spaces that he may be able to talk his way onto with the grades he has if he asks very very nicely (and quickly!) - fingers crossed
Fingers crossed for decent weather for the ST family outing to the V Festival too. I know she likes plodding through mud but I doubt that extends to actually sleeping in it!
It's going to be an empty pub this weekend ... people off to festivals, people at the SW social ..... thank gawd I've got my imaginary friend to talk to
Forecast for V has gone from heavy rain to light showers so please do a dance to the weather god to keep moving the weather in the right direction.. On my way home to get stuff sorted and find our wellies. Also my Tiger Balm as I think the loos may be on a par with Kili in terms of aroma quotient..
