Are you REALLY going to jump up and say "RIGHT - OI - YOU LOT!!! I am gorgeous and I really want you all to know that you're losers and I am better than you"
On the 'mob' attack most people are alluding too, I honestly believe apart from a couple of posters (who seemed to post when TNGM wasn't online anymore), most people were making light of the conversation and finding humour in a way to difuse the situation and entertain themselves.
And isn't that why 99.9% of us are here in the first place, to keep ourselves entertained?

What'll happen?
You'd get sectioned?
You get kicked out of the cinema in 'nam (that's Cheltenham by the way...Nam doens't have a cinema inside him/her) (sorry Nam I can't remember if you're a guy or a girl). That happened to a group of ruffians when I was at the cinema last. The little turds.
No Nam/KK, I'm not suggesting that everyone will love everyone (Thanks for the engagement BTW, I'had the sneaking suspicion i was on 'ignore').
'Love?' 'What has love got to do with it'... as Tina Turner so memorably said. Tis not about love, it's about dignity - yours to be precise.
Your identity and others; you seem to be arguing that it is okay to bushwhack potentially vulnerable people in suport of your forum identity... you're not telling me it was really about the argument in question... are you?
No friends, it's about responsibilty... because you, me, anyone cannot know who the person is behind the keyboard
I'm off for a bevvie, will consider these well made points above later
Corinthian you made the point that an open forum should not be a lawless place - a point I agreed with.
Conversly I made the point that it is not a place where you should expect to be any less 'vulnerable' than in the non-virtual world since it is inhabited by the same people than those in the real world.
There were times I honestly wondered if TNGM was another forumite under a different name just trying to wind people up such was my disbelief at some of her comments!

I think it's the nature of the disagreeing that's the issue.
If a lot of people share an opinion which is different from one person's, they can say so without it becoming a personal attack on the one.
There are ways of saying you think someone is wrong, or misinformed, or that you disagree, without getting into a personal attack and name-calling.

Dammit Namble
Is that why they did that to me?
Shoot
There are lots of little turds in nam, especially if you take a detour up Hester's way.

Ok well I am off to London and in hospital tomorrow so I won't be online.
Don't be too mean while I am not here
Hm - what concerns me is that TGNM is being discussed - again - in her absence.
Not only that but on a thread she hasn't even posted on.
Plodding on.... you are Hot!!!
(All sexual and sexist references are completely disowned and are as result of a hard day at work)
Corinth - I owe you beer. Lots of beer
I will take that with me into the horrible void of London tonight

Nobody, absolutely nobody advocated bushwacking 'vulnerable people'.
There is also presently no consensus as to whether TNGM (as an example) would qualify as 'vulnerable'.
She may of been mentioned, but I can't see any real derogartory comments.
If anything this thread has shown that on the whole most are quite supportive of her right to put her views across.
Anyhews I'm off to build my army of fraggles to combat KK's army of smurfs.
Toodles.
