Just a heads up that after this week's Fishing specials, Lidl next Thursday (19 March) will be having a running special.
Amongst the special buys, are Ladies 3/4 leggings for £6.88, Men's shorts for £3.99(!), running t-shirts (Men's and Ladies) for £4.88; ladies jackets for £8.79 and running socks for a couple of quid.
If the gear is of comparable quality to the cycling stuff they had a couple of weeks ago, the ladies leggings should be good, the t-shirts are well worth the fiver and men's shorts could be a bargain as long as the cut is a bit better than they managed with their men's cycling shorts.
As I started this thread, I kindly ask you to leave some for me!

As you ask, I'll stick to the men's stuff!!
And you stay clear of Cwmdu Estate, Swansea!!
Gonna go get me some socks then.
Keep away from the Andover or Basingstoke store as I will hit them hard
I can get anyone socks or stuff from glasgow if they wish as i dont wear the socks or shorts ,but the t shirts are mine ,all mine
thanks for the headsup
Last year I bought some T-shirts from Lidl. Still wear them to this day.
I may grab some socks this time. Do running socks really make a difference then??
Thanks Muttley. I had great success with ski stuff from Aldi by TGIF- got a ski suit for cub1 for £20 and snow boots for £15 which were excellent. The way they grow..........
I thought I saw a LIDL in Whitley on the way to Costco. Am heading that way today so will have a check if I was dreaming and let you know. Probably easier to park.
If you go to their website you can see some pics. The capris at £6.84 look great as do the tee-shirts and jackets.
We're decorating our bathroom at the mo so will take a look at the bath stuff(pics on same web page as the running stuff!)
Thanks for the information.
I think their kit is good and believe it or not so does my oldest son (who is very into sports wear 'designer labels' at the moment) !
My only problem with it is the same as the cycling stuff................why do they do shorts for the men but capri pants for the girls...................with the cycling I just bought the mens...........but I'm worried to run in the mens incase they fall down or make my bum look big or something....................
since when does the size of your trousers depend on your sex...............
apart from that I like their kit,
your first trip to Lidl I assume???
you want cheap - you won't get presentation!!
