I think FB has the record of 51 or something. Im after it, but he has the benefit of mass to pull him down (in a powerful muscular way obviously) I am running a homebuilt cassette in CH to have a pop at this record, but Im not too confident. 51 is quick quick quick.
Jj nowt wrong with holding onto the brakes, I do it all the time I also get shouted at quite a lot, not sure husbands should teach wifes how to ride a bike
the one from Forch back down towards the lake - there's a nice long straight descent with a smooth road surface just begging to be blasted down.........3rd lap (you lot only get 2 goes now) I went for it
they ban you doing it on tribars now as people are prone to crashing so I reckon my title is safe.......
at the bottom the road goes into a housing estate and there was a marshall frantically waving his flag telling me to slow down as I shot by him giving him a big grin in the process - it might have been a grimace as I was thinking "feck don't crash now" as I was yanking on the levers........as soon as you're into the houses it then starts into some bends so you need to chuck anchors out reasonably rapidly
me and P are going to recce that section of the ride on Thursday - me for old times sake and to see the new section and P to see what all the fuss is about. we won't bother with the Heartbreak Hill side of the lake 'cos that hasn't changed at all. if anyone wants to join in they are welcome although they may not want a 60km ride so close to the race.....

How much brake fade/overheating did you get down the bottom then FB? I bet it was entertaining trying to scrub the speed off.
