Not good here. Bad news about lovely colleague's mum who is seriously ill and crappy work and the usual political (both large and small p) claptrap goes on unabated.
As Alan Bennett once said, it's the kind of thing that makes me want to give up and go and live in a field.
With hot and cold running water and proper shelter, of course. Though mercifully without Zoe Ball on Radio 2.
Not much better here today either But me and my team person are going to pull through, oh yes we shall. It's just I feel carp about the fact that I'll be abandoning her for 5 weeks soon.
talking of which, tonight's surreal activities included teaching my 10 year old Kid B to do pelvic floor exercises - I guess you're never too young to see the advantages of having a fanny like a steel trap?
met a lovely landlord last weekend who stammered and was quite one of the best landlords I had ever seen - you know when it's just a joy to watch someone who is good at their job?

Things have improved.
We've just had CAKE!
Now all I can think about is how far I'll need to run to burn it off.

neurotic colleague at his most Eeyore-like
client not happy and at his most challenging
