I am listed as second most active user over the last 30 days - how can this be when I only post on two threads, and not even every day at that!
Or has RW been watching me going about my daily business and they just think I am a very active person and always on the go?

Haven't even been to a Social since last November, though!
KK - I have to say I think it is purely made up. And pointless.
I would say a more interesting league table would be how many forumites you have shared a bed with, would you agree?
*looks at fingers*
*starts counting*
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, .......
erm... ... do tents count as well?
I know someone who has a theory that it is related to the times you post so late night posting gets you more points!! So insomniacs go straight to the top.
Maybe it's the quality of what you post rather than the quantity.
Where do you see who is most active?
(and can your boss see this during work time???)
Only they know the secret to their madness.
Well, unless RW deletes about 50% of the threads, then there's no way I'd be second most active!!
Stephanie, scroll down to the left of the page and you will see the list.
I think it's just random (it's on the left of the screen, Stephanie, at the bottom).
And pointless!
Oh, and only one - but lots and lots and lots of times
the measurement is probably about what is valuable to the website. So there is probalbly higher rating to revenue generation for the website - event entries, clicking on ads atc are hugely more valuable than the chat forums.
As regards the forums - the gear forums are probably of more value as brands get mentioned. RW will be able to go to advertisers and tell them how many times for instance Mizuno get mentioned per month/per week etc. This is of value to advertisers.
I never go on gear forums.
I have entered one event in the last month.
I haven't clicked on any adverts.
I post on The Runners Arms and On the Wagon for January and hardly ever anywhere else.
It just doesn't add up.
"...and some other magic factors our developers have dreamed up."
Dreamt up, surely?
I'm 1962nd most active forumite.
Thank God for that, I appear to have been cured!!!!!!!
Posting is probably not very important in the measurement.
It costs money to track activity - the measurement will be more relevent to RW thn to us. Being logged on for exmple might be more relevent to RW. If you are logged there is better chance you are reading ads for instance. If you are posting you are probably paying less attention to ads.
Yes!! I've dropped out of the top 10
NGL
I dont think it will be one thing - I am really just giving examples of things that may be involved. The number of postings is probably relatively unimportant. There are probably also many multiplier effects - so one event entry mutiplied by one gear review may equate to 1000s of posts.
re logging on - many computers dont get turned off - so the log on may be 24/7 for some people.
We almost certainly wont be able to backsolve any equation they do use
