oooh I would definitely get one again - put one in my old house and loved it - still looked great when we sold the house 5 years later. Also my parents have had an ikea kitchen for about 15 years now and nothings broken and doesn't look worn
I think there's a general feeling that because Ikea stuff is relatively inexpensive it must be poor quality. my experience would suggest - like callycat's - otherwise.
we moved into new offices over 2 years ago and completely furnished it with Ikea desks, cupboards, drawers etc and the quality is excellent and still looks as new....
We designed our own kitchen using IKEA stuff - it's been in place for nearly a year and no probs so far. My OH originally suggested IKEA and I wasn't keen, but after looking around, I came around to the idea as some of the other kitchen providers have some shockingly flimsy, cheap-looking stuff on sale.
Their furniture is fine as long as you don't move them about too much. I have had several pieces of furniture and other items from IKEA and they have been fine.
I had an Ikea kitchen in my old house, all appliances fully integrated with no problems with different brands fitting, they all have the same measurements for integrated stuff.
And by the way, when I sold the house two years ago, the very first person to view the house on the first day it was advertised bought the house because of the kitchen. I wish I still had the pic's to show you.
Ikea Billy bookcases rock. They're cheap but they do the job.
Agree entirely! they're phenomenal. We have 7 of the tallest widest version and they are fully laden with as many books as we can cram on the shelves. None of the shelves have shown any signs of warping and we must have had some of them at least 8 years and moved house several times. Need another billy - must stop buying books...
That'll never work - just have to buy more billies!!
I don't have an IKEA kitchen, but lots of other furniture from them! My favourite items are the Billy bookcases- I also have 7 of the tall ones! I've had them for 16 years, absolutely stuffed with books. I've trying to figure out where to put more bookcases to get books off the floor- I would get more Billy!

hope that helps

I quite like them and from what I've seen from other peoples', they seem to stay together.

we have some IKEA chairs that we bought about 6 years ago. they look like new despite having been to NZ and back*...
*cos we went to live there, not because of a problem with delivery.....
another vote for the durability and general coolosity of IKEA kitchens.
