Just wondering if anyone as expeienced back pain in the morning and if so has any strateies ease or prevent he pain. I find that going from a lying down to sitting up/getting up position causes pain in the lower back.
Perhaps you are using a bad mattress and pillow. Bad and low quality mattresses are responsible to create unwanted back pain in low and middle back. Sleeping position is also another factor which may occur you back pain. Side sleeping is a good and healthy sleeping position. Stomach sleeping is very bad that causes back pain. Back pain occurs due to a lot of reasons.

Not sure if this would help you since you mention that this happens to you after sleeping, but when I have back pain it's a result of having tense/knotted back muscles, and I've found that doing stretches really helps.

How high is your pillow? I found that if I use quite a big pillow, my back is always sore in the morning.
